As Senior/Lead Software Engineer, you will play a significant role in turning our product vision into reality, while working within the Product Engineering team to add value across our product. You’ll draw on your experience to help us establish contemporary, web application software that is highly scalable, durable, and based on current best practices.

Our product is written mainly in Java (Spring, Hibernate) and ReactJS with our Design System, Electric. Our architecture is a combination of microservices, decoupled AWS service architectures, and a well-maintained monolith. The product is deployed on AWS across multiple regions. We use tools like Docker and Buildkite and deploy our systems and monitor our technology using CloudWatch, New Relic and SquadCast. We’re looking for someone to help us evolve how our systems operate together while we grow our team and capability.

What will I be doing?

• Creating change in a complex system. Working within our product stream, making well-considered decisions around patterns, principals, frameworks, languages and tools, thinking through and mitigating for potential cascading impacts of those changes.
• Designing and developing well-architected systems. Understand and contribute to our product source code and cloud infrastructure.
• Designing holistically, delivering iteratively. Work with the team to break down system-wide architecture recommendations into small, intelligently planned increments for delivery. 
• Advocate for technology needs. Translate technology risk into opportunity during product and technology roadmap discussions.
• Coach and mentor. Assist with career development of less experienced staff on our teams.
• Putting Customers First. A regular rotation on support for the systems we develop.

 What we’re looking for

• Demonstrated experience as a software engineer, with 4-8 years experience in technology roles
• Experience working on complex systems and cloud architectures
• Significant experience with across the full stack:
• The Java programming language and frameworks such as Spring & SpringBoot 
• Front-end Javascript frameworks such as ReactJS
• Good knowledge of AWS services, design patterns and practices - ideally certified but if not, we’ll help you get there
• Some knowledge of optimising databases and SQL queries for high-performance 
• Experience and keen understanding of the value of working in agile teams
• A “quality-first” mindset, with experience working in continuous integration environments and supporting the systems you contribute to
• Highly effective at communicating, and comfortable whiteboarding design ideas with teams of engineers, product managers, and business analysts
• Desire to challenge the status quo and maturity to know when to compromise

We are looking for MERN Stack Interns to join our team and help us build and maintain high-performance web applications. As a MERN stack developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js).

Novolytics is a novel Analytics Company which is trying to solve the problems of manufactures and machine asset owners. Predictive maintenance is going to be a huge part of Factory 2.0, which will allow manufacturers to keep machine downtime to minimum, boosting productivity and reducing losses due to down time. 

Novolytics is building a platform which would collect signal data, analyze and predict which machines need maintenance or are showing signs of wear. Currently our platform is being piloted for one of India's largest car manufacturers, to solve for vehicle maintenance and servicing based on car sounds.

Responsibilities:

- Design and architect the various parts of the product or its features

- Be the product and tech owner providing support, mentorship and guidance to other developers

- Maintain and operate the application in production environment

- Contribute to the broader team management activities including Product planning, Improvement Activities,etc.

- Involve in hiring other developers and mentoring team members.

- Participate in the evolution of organization-wide best practices, standards, and policies related to software development and propagate the same to other technical staff.

- Participate in code reviews and architecture and design discussions.

- Ensure delivery of all product deliverables within the timelines.

Qualifications:

- BE/BTech in Computer Science with at least 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer

- Experience in design, maintaining, and testing large online systems.

- Familiar with at least one of high level server side languages out of NodeJS or Python, with a preference of NodeJS(with Express.js)

- Experience of building frontend web-apps using ReactJS.

- Should have knowledge about, and know how/when to use different Design Patterns

- Should have experience with cloud infrastructure providers, preferably, AWS.

- Experience of mobile app development on Flutter is a plus

- Have experience of working with relational as well as non relational databases like MySQL, MongoDB along with other data stores like Redis and Elasticsearch.

- Have knowledge of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and workflows.

- Know web application security best practices and knowledge of common application security vulnerabilities

- Understanding of queue management systems/frameworks like RabbitMQ, Celery

Level 3 Contractor-to-Fulltime-Programmer Role:

Must have 1-2 years (ideally 12 to 30 months) of post-collegiate professional programming experience at a top SaaS company in React, Typescript, Javascript working within Visual Studio Code and Yarn, leveraging superior techniques with Routing, Components, State, and Props to deliver elegant consumer applications based on dynamic data.
