A bit about you

A recognized expert in their professional discipline, with significant impact and influence on organizational policy and program development. Establishes critical strategic and operational goals, and develops and implements new products, processes, standards, or operational plans to achieve organizational objectives. Regularly leads projects of critical importance to the organization—projects that carry substantial consequences for success or failure. Requires strong influence and communication with executive leadership. Problems encountered are often complex and multidimensional, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that affect multiple areas of the organization.

You will:

• Develop production-ready code to meet scope of requirements.
• With guidance, update and create documentation as needed for new and existing solutions.
• Participate in code-reviews with comments to improve code quality, stability, and maintainability.
• Create and maintain unit and integration testing solutions. Be able to run your code in lower environments.
• Run tests on the mobile device to ensure code meets requirements
• Watch mobile releases for Android or iOS for features you developed
• Teardown your solutions across multiple environments and platforms.
•  Provide operational support of your deployed code
• Determine issues within your areas of expertise.
• Work with teams across the engineering organization to understand and incorporate client requirements into final solutions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Computer Science or a related field, OR 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years of hands-on Android application development using Kotlin and Android Studio.
• Experience with modern Android libraries and frameworks, including Jetpack components (e.g., Navigation, Room, ViewModel, LiveData), Retrofit for networking, and image loading libraries (e.g., Glide, Coil).
• Proficiency with asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
• Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger/Hilt or Koin.
• Experience with app architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVI, and clean architecture principles.
• 2+ years of experience working in Agile teams and participating in iterative development cycles.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, best practices, performance optimization, and memory management.
• Experience with unit and UI testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Espresso).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and automated build/deployment pipelines.
• Ability to independently take ownership of tasks and deliver robust solutions.
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Would be great if you have:

• Experience with React Native, including building function components, using hooks, and working with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Play Store processes, including app signing, publishing, and release management.
• Familiarity with ingesting and exposing large datasets in the weather industry.
• Experience in the advertising industry.
• Proficiency with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory.

We are looking for a Mobile Lead (IOS & Android) for one of the leading TMT bar manufacturers & suppliers in Kolkata.

Role - Mobile Lead (IOS & Android)

Job Description :-

As a Mobile Lead, your primary responsibility is to oversee the development and maintenance of mobile applications for our organization. 

Some of the key job responsibilities include :-

1. Leading the Mobile Development Team: You will lead a team of developers, designers who are responsible for building and maintaining mobile applications. You will be responsible for Coding, delegating tasks, setting goals and timelines, and overseeing the team's performance to ensure that the development process runs smoothly.

2. Developing Mobile Applications: You will be responsible for developing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, using a range of programming languages such as Swift, Java, Kotlin, and React Native. You will need to ensure that the application is scalable, user-friendly, and meets the specific requirements of the organization.

3. Collaborating with Stakeholders: You will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders in the organization, including product managers, project managers, designers, and other development teams to understand the requirements and objectives of the application. You will need to ensure that the application aligns with the overall product roadmap and meets the business objectives.

4. Ensuring Quality: You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the mobile application, including testing, debugging, and fixing any issues that arise during the development process. You will need to

ensure that the application is free of bugs, runs smoothly, and meets performance and usability standards.

5. Keeping Up with Emerging Trends: You will need to stay up to date with the latest developments in mobile technology, and emerging trends in user experience and design. You will need to ensure that the mobile application is using the latest technologies and is in line with industry best practices.

6. Managing Project Budget: You will be responsible for managing the budget for mobile development projects, including resource allocation, vendor management, and contract negotiations.

Overall, the Mobile Lead is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of mobile development processes and the ability to lead a team to deliver high-quality mobile applications.

As a Flutter developer, you’ll work on our mobile app that is built with Flutter. You’ll help to plan and develop new features, review other people’s code, fix bugs, help in technological and business decisions, and support the internal team. You will take initiative to run projects/features smoothly.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of Flutter experience in a production environment
• At least 3 years of industry experience

Nice to have:

• Having the knowledge required to write native plugins in Swift or Kotlin is an asset
• Having a background in native iOS and/or Android development is a big plus (e.g. experience with Xcode, Gradle, Android Studio).
• Familiar with one or more CI/CD environments: CircleCI, Gitlab, Github, etc. Knowing your way around Fastlane to build & deploy your app comes in handy
• Experience in working with state management libraries such as Riverpod

• Familiar with writing tests for your application: unit tests, widget tests and integration tests
• UI / UX design principles
• Good understanding of coding best practices and design patterns
• Understanding of security technologies (encryption, authentication, OAuth 2.0)
• Contribution to open source projects
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed

This person MUST have:

• B.E Computer Science or equivalent.
• Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the Android market with experience in Android development. 
• In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language like Kotlin 
• Strong knowledge of how to work with RESTful APIs 
• Strong Familiarity with OOP design principles 
• Integrate with our backend web services to deliver better and faster user experience 
• Strong knowledge of version control (i.e. git, svn, etc.) 
• Ability to performance tune and scale applications 
• Agile development experience 
• Experience working at a software product company is a major plus  
• Passion to learn and develop new skills continuously 
• Strong sense of ownership in every application they build 
• Working with highly collaborative and dynamic team environments 

Experience:

• Min 3 year experience
• Startup experience is a must.
   

Location:

• Remotely, anywhere in India

Timings:

• 40 hours a week but with 4 hours a day overlapping with client timezone.  Typically clients are in California PST Timezone.

Position:

• Full time/Direct
