Senior Backend Engineer- Java

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly skilled Java Developers with hands-on experience in developing 

enterprise-scale applications, preferably within the financial services domain. The role 

requires expertise in Core Java, Microservices, and high-performance server-side 

development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale n-tier applications in the financial 

domain.

• Develop complex, low-latency, client-facing applications with a focus on performance 

and scalability.

• Work with Microservices architecture, Data Structures, OOPs, Algorithms, and 

Multithreading.

• Perform high-level and low-level design for critical applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

• Ensure best practices in coding, architecture, and application performance.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Core Java 5.0 and above, Spring, and CXF.

• Extensive experience in enterprise application design patterns and architecture.

• Strong development experience with RDBMS (preferably Sybase).

·      BlueYonder is seeking a Senior/Principal Architect in the Data Services department (under Luminate Platform ) to act as one of key technology leaders to build and manage BlueYonder’ s technology assets in the Data Platform and Services.

·      This individual will act as a trusted technical advisor and strategic thought leader to the Data Services department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead, participate, guide, and mentor other people in the team on architecture and design in a hands-on manner. You are responsible for technical direction of Data Platform. This position reports to the Global Head, Data Services and will be based in Bangalore, India.

·      Core responsibilities to include Architecting and designing (along with counterparts and distinguished Architects) a ground up cloud native (we use Azure) SaaS product in Order management and micro-fulfillment

·      The team currently comprises of 60+ global associates across US, India (COE) and UK and is expected to grow rapidly. The incumbent will need to have leadership qualities to also mentor junior and mid-level software associates in our team. This person will lead the Data platform architecture – Streaming, Bulk with Snowflake/Elastic Search/other tools

• Good knowledge of SQL (MySQL / Oracle / SQL Server / Postgres), NoSQL (MongoDB / Cassandra), App server Knowledge (Tomcat/JBoss etc.), OSGi, REST Web Services
• Working / Usage experience of Docker, Microservices, Jenkins, Multithreading, Design patterns, Java 1.8 and Container
• Experience with Cloud computing in added advantage (AWS / Azure)
• Strong Debugging and Troubleshooting Expertise.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)

• Work with business analysts to estimate and design effective, scalable and maintainable solutions that meet business initiatives and objectives
• Develop and unit test software that meets business requirements and technical design
• Troubleshoot pre- and post-production implementations
• Propose new ideas when there is strong business value and stay up to date on the latest technology trends and techniques

Critical Skills & Experiences:

• At least 5+ years of experience developing in Java technologies with equivalent experience in systems analysis, OO design, OO programming and debugging skills
• At least 5 years of experience in Java Spring Boot Framework development
• 2 years of experience in any Cloud platform, preferably AWS.
• At least 3 years of web services and relational database experience (preferably Mysql)
• At least a year of Elastic search experience
• Experience developing RESTful web services (preferably micro services)
• Experience with UNIX/Linux command line and shell scripting
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams
• Any level of experience with JIRA or any other issue tracking technology
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders
• Experience with Java application profiling and profiling tools
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
