- Experience in designing and building core modeling artifacts in SAP BW 7.5 on HANA, ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, LSA++ architecture
- Experience in implementing SAP ABAP and SAP AMDP scripting in BW transformations
- Experience in using CDS views for data extraction into BW and for real time reporting
- Experience in using user exits, field exit and BADI’s implementations
- Experience in HANA architecture/design and data modeling - creating Schemas, Packages, Stored Procedures, Analytical Views, Attribute Views, Calculation Views.
- Experience building hybrid data modeling solutions
- Knowledge on HANA 2.0 features
- Knowledge on SAP modules SD, MM, FI, Supply Chain
- Experience in extracting data from non-SAP data sources
- Experience in performance tuning of high volume and complex transformation scenarios
- Planning and organizational skills, including ability to engage with multiple development projects concurrently and working to tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions for the SAP Business Warehouse on HANA including Design Documents, Data flows, Data models
- Develop customer solutions using core modeling artifacts in SAP BW 7.5 on HANA, ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, including enhancing the existing DataSources, creating generic DataSources when required
- Create data models to support real time reporting
- Extract data from non-SAP data sources
- Design and implement SAP HANA info models using Attribute Views, Analytic Views, Calculation Views Restricted and Calculated Measures, Input Parameters, Variables, Stored Procedures, CE Functions and SQL script.
- Tuning jobs for high volume and complex transformation scenarios
- Developing and executing advanced data profiling, data validation scenarios.
- Adhere to BI/BW best practices and standards to maintain a stable Business Information environment
- Monitor BW loads, communicate and troubleshoot issues with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues
- Perform routine program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing
- Maintain BW structures and support for ETL processes for data feeding in and out of BW
- Design data structures to optimize data load times and end-user data access response times
- Design processes to minimize data quality risks and proactively identify potential data issues
- Prepare project related documentation (functional design, technical design, test scripts) during the different stages of a project
- Will be working on multiple development projects concurrently under tight deadlines.

About the Role
We're hiring a senior engineer who can own systems end-to-end on live, production JavaScript/TypeScript applications. You'll work across React frontends, Node backends, and the databases behind them — you don't need to be the deepest expert in every layer, but you should be strong across the stack and able to make architectural calls that hold up.
This role involves real client interaction, technical decision-making, and shipping into production — not just executing tickets. You'll also be someone the mid-level and junior engineers learn from.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications running in production
- Own technical decisions on architecture, data modeling, deployments, and performance trade-offs
- Debug live issues across the stack, identify bottlenecks, and improve performance
- Participate in client conversations: scoping, technical discussions, demos, and updates
- Review code and raise the team's bar — including the judgment to catch when AI-generated code is subtly wrong, overengineered, or a poor fit
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to team engineering standards

Must-Have
- 4–6 years building and shipping production JavaScript/TypeScript applications
- Strong full-stack ability — genuinely comfortable owning both React frontends and Node backends; can architect a feature from UI to data layer
- Deep JavaScript and TypeScript — language fundamentals, async patterns, typing discipline, and the ability to teach these to less experienced engineers
- Strong React — advanced hooks, state management, performance optimization, component architecture, and structuring large apps
- Strong Node backend — REST (and ideally some GraphQL or real-time) APIs, auth, error handling, and integrating third-party services; experience with Express, Nest, or similar
- Solid SQL and NoSQL — data modeling across relational and document paradigms; able to pick the right store for the problem and design schemas that hold up under load and change (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar)
- Hands-on AWS — deploying and operating applications, comfortable picking up new services, and debugging issues in production cloud environments
- System design fundamentals — caching (Redis/Memcache), queues, REST/API design, and an understanding of scaling and reliability trade-offs
- Track record on live production systems — operating, supporting, and evolving systems, not only greenfield builds or POCs
- Git workflows in a team — branching, reviews, conflict resolution
- Day-to-day use of AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) and a point of view on where they help vs. hurt
