The key aspects of this role:

·    Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using Ruby

·    Contribute to the entire implementation process including driving the definition of improvements based on business needs

·    Act as a subject matter expert for Application Software developers and Engineers

·    Handle server-side code for a production platform and contribute to new features.

 

To be the right fit, you'll need:

 

·    Must have ROR as primary skill with good experience in server side scripting

·    Must have used Ruby as scripting language & Rails as framework

·    Good understanding & hands on experience on any frameworks in ruby : Watir, Capybera, Faraday

·    Rest Web API development (Server & Client) experience will be an added advantage.

·    Understanding of HTML/CSS/Angular JS will again an added advantage 

·    Good knowledge in DevOPS tools

·    Experience to work in agile scrum model projects

 

Location: Pune, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar

You have 3 to 14 yrs of software engineering & product delivery experience with strong

background in datastructures & algorithms

• You’ve proven software development credentials having successfully built complex

products

• You are experienced with one or more general programming languages (e.g. Java, C/C++,

Go). Ability to learn other coding languages as needed.

• You have a strong foundation in the fundamentals of computer science, with familiarity in

data structures, algorithms and a strong command of object-oriented principles.

• You have experience in one or more of the following areas: Server Backend, Distributed

and Parallel Systems, Full Stack Development (frontend and backend), Scalable Enterprise

Platforms and Applications, Application Security and Incident Management, Android,

iOS, and Machine Learning.

• You have a spark that separates you from the crowd and ability to think out of the box and

on your feet

• You possess multi-dimensional skills that make you a valuable co-worker in a fast,

changing and ambiguous environment

• You have the ability to learn other coding languages as needed real quick

• You are comfortable in working with a team that deals with ambiguity every day

Job Specifications
• BE/B. Tech. Computer Science or MCA from a reputed University.
• 8+ Years of experience in software development, with emphasis on JAVA/J2EE Server side
programming.
• Hands on experience in Core Java, Multithreading, RMI, Socket programing, JDBC, NIO,
webservices and Design patterns.
• Should have Knowledge of distributed system, distributed caching, messaging frameworks, ESB
etc.
• Knowledge of Linux operating system and PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB/Cassandra database is
essential.
• Additionally, knowledge of HBase, Hadoop and Hive are desirable.
• Familiarity with message queue systems and AMQP and Kafka is desirable.
• Should have experience as a participant in Agile methodologies.
• Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
• This is not a Fullstack requirement, we are purely looking out for Backend resources.

This is a temporary full time/freelancer role.

 

Requirements: 

• - Write well designed, testable code in popular Javascript frameworks like React, Angular etc. and Ruby/Ruby on Rails.
  - A good exposure to both SQL and NoSQL database architectures.
• - Ability to write well documented and testable scripts to automate some processes, preferably using Javascript and/or Ruby.
• - A strong problem solving mindset.
• - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  - Ability to work collaboratively in teams, with a self-starting, entrepreneurial and ownership mindset.
• - Experience working on Open Source projects is a big plus

 

Responsibilities:               

 

• - You will be responsible to work on key issues for one of our dashboard platforms, and collaborate with other developers and the product team to drive the product development forward.
• - You will be expected to take ownership of the work you do, and the dashboard platform that you will be working on.
• - You will be also responsible to train future developers on the platform you'll be working on, once they join your team.
• - At times you will be required to communicate and collaborate with our dashboard implementation partners on a technical front, to discuss roadblocks, potential future roadmaps and improvements, along with our engineering and product teams.
• - You will be required to attend weekly cadences with the team to discuss updates and future goals, brainstorm on some problems and give key updates on deliverables on behalf of the team you'll be working with.

What we're looking for:
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following:
- Fluency in Ruby on Rails, RDBMS & Nosql and Background Job process management.
- Working experience of JavaScript, HTML5 & CSS3, jQuery (show us what you have created!)
- Experience with Angular.JS, Node.JS, PWA, AWS, Google Cloud a major plus
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to break complex problems into simpler tasks
- Hard working, self-starter, proven ability to manage multiple projects to strict deadlines
- Ability to participate in high level strategy discussions, work in areas outside of your comfort zone, and work quickly to get things done

What is expected of you:
