Opia Labs is a looking for an entrepreneurial, highly motivated and experienced technologist to lead our engineering team at Hyderabad (India).

As engineeing lead, you would be responsible for driving day to day development activities including coordination with customers and project management team in US. You are expected to be hands-on with the technology stacks we work with so you can contribute as a developer across projects on need basis.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering effort across projects 
• Interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages including Application Architecture, Design and Development
• Understand client's business requirements and be able to map them to technology solutions and make them work
• Design and build modern solutions informed by a deep understanding of cloud architecture and how distributed systems operate at scale
• Provide regular support and guidance to teams on complex coding, issue resolution and execution 
• Establish and enforce best development and engineering practices including QA and DevOps
• Lead and manage your own team, but also get down to coding, testing, and designing solutions as and when needed
• Communicate effectively with teams, clients and business leaders within the company

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 6+ years of experience designing and building full stack applications using UI frameworks like Angular, React or Vue.JS and backend frameworks like Node.JS/ExpressJS or Python/Django/Flask or Laravel/Yii2/Symphony
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Technical Lead mentoring team of 3 to 5 developers
• Strong knowlegde of cloud and distributed systems (AWS, GCP, Azure). Cloud certifications would be an added advantage.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases, SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with Graph databases like Neo4j is desirable.
• Proficient in Git and CI-CD frameworks
• Strong communicator with visual, verbal, and writing skills to clearly articulate complex design problems and solutions
• Ability to work in an agile environment

Technical Overview

Product Overview
 You will be contributing to products concerning both customers and partner drivers.
 Product sectors include:
o Growth: You’ll build tools to help boost user growth on the platform including our industry
best driver on-boarding, training and certification system, referral system, and lead
management models.
o Lifecycle Management:  Build tools to help users engage with the platform better, which
includes rewards and recognition module, subscription service, account management tools,
partner and customer wallets and payout modules, and churn detection systems among
others.
o Transaction Experience: You’ll help deliver the most delightful booking experience to our
customers and drivers. As part of this team, you’ll be responsible for our core booking
system, pricing and payment systems, location tracking and filtering services, fraud
prevention systems, and in-app ticketing and support among others.
o Fulfilment: As part of the fulfilment team, you’ll work on systems which ensure high degree
of ride fulfilment on the platform. Tools including allocation methodologies and system,
dynamic pricing, dynamic partner routing, and partner re-activation tools among others.
o Enterprise Solutions: You’ll help Porter’s enterprise customers achieve delivery excellence.
You’ll build tools for contract management, fleet management, fleet and route optimisation
tools, alerting and monitoring tools, and analytics suite among others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:   1. Full ownership of Tech right from driving product decisions to architect to deployment. 2. Develop cutting edge user experience and build cutting edge technology solutions like instant messaging in poor networks, live-discussions, live-videos optimal matching. 3. Using Billions of Data Points to Build User Personalization Engine.  4. Building Data Network Effects Engine to increase Engagement & Virality.  5. Scaling the Systems to Billions of Daily Hits. 6. Deep diving into performance, power management, memory optimization & network connectivity optimization for the next Billion Indians.  7. Orchestrating complicated workflows, asynchronous actions, and higher order components.  8. Work directly with Product and Design teams. REQUIREMENTS:   1. Should have Hacked some (computer or non-computer) system to your advantage. 2. Built and managed systems with a scale of 10Mn+ Daily Hits 3. Strong architectural experience.  4. Strong experience in memory management, performance tuning and resource optimizations.  5. PREFERENCE- If you are a woman or an ex-entrepreneur or having a CS bachelors degree from IIT/BITS/NIT. P.S.
