Opportunity Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer with experience building Salesforce AppExchange apps to lead the development of Salesforce connectors for our marketing technology products.

What would you do?

·      Take a lead role in the design and implementation of Shopify connectors for our marketing products.

·      Collaborate with stakeholders in establishing application requirements, determining features, creating customer-friendly solutions, and determining support needs and performance requirements. 

·      Plan, design, develop, test, and deploy software to satisfy these requirements. 

·      Work according to the agile programming application development methodology adhered to including test-first, iterative development, and continuous re-prioritization.  

·      Support the maintenance of our hosted technology solutions. 

·      Work with other team members in accomplishing group objectives and participating in code reviews. 

·      Ensure timely and robust implementation of the company’s development plans.

·      Ensure that all relevant parties are kept up to date on progress of projects and give feedback on an ongoing basis. 

·      Contribute to the review, selection, and adoption of proprietary tools and technologies. 

·      Use specialist knowledge and experience of information technology to provide technical advice and vision.

Technical Skills

The following skills are needed for this role.

Experience

·      3+ years’ experience in web application design and development 

·      Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience 

Primary Skills

·      Strong background in Front-end technologies – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, etc. 

·      Experience with node.js

·      An understanding of User Experience and a background in building intuitive interfaces. 

Secondary Skills (nice to have)

·      Experience with Shopify integrations.

·      Experience building native apps for other platforms.

·      Experience with Salesforce APEX, VisualForce, SOQL, etc.

·      AWS ecosystem and tools, particularly developing for serverless environments. 

·      Any experience with other languages will be beneficial.

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Write, test, and release world-class, production-ready code
• Ensure that the data needs of the UI are fulfilled with efficient database queries
• Ensure compliance with software engineering standards and processes defined at Simform.
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web enabled devices and browsers

• Solid hands-on experience with ReactJS frontend development with modern practices. 
• HTML5, JavaScript, ES6, and TypeScript expertise
• Experience with   React .js / D3.js / GraphQL is a plus
• Proficiency with CSS3, Sass, and Mixins - knowledge of GSAP would be a plus
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs integration 
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, Bower, Gulp etc. 
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, Github, Bitbucket

• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them

Responsibilities

1. Define technical blueprints and take complete technical ownership of high-level design, tech stack of the product.

2. Design, build, test and deploy product features that are reliable, secure and optimised for performance across all environments.

3. Work closely with product management team to define and refine feature specifications.

4. Work with cross-functional teams to address technical dependencies.

5. Drive some of the company-wide tech initiatives striving towards continuous technical excellence of our platforms.

6. Mentor upcoming engineers in the organisation / team.

Qualifications

1. 4+ years of experience in developing dynamic, scalable web applications.

2. Demonstrated ability in building / architecting large scale products in the React ecosystem.

3. Ability to work with teams in a collaborative and productive manner.

4. Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.

5. Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues and demonstrates good design and UI / UX sensibilities.

6. Excellent technical leadership and mentoring skills.
