Technology Lead – Frontend

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaboratively work with UX team, product managers, back-end engineers and other technical teams to create new, delightful and scalable UI
• Mentor junior members through training and individual support
• Responsible for all front end development on a project
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
• Optimize existing user interface designs
• Proactively learn and accordingly apply new technologies, best design practices and usability patterns

The ideal candidate must - 

• 5+ years of experience working with React or React-based frameworks
• Proficiency with browser-based debugging and performance testing
• Proficiency in Git and version control
• Considerable experience with a testing framework (Jest/Mocha)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JWT Tokens
• Good understanding of common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, Yarn etc
• Hands-on experience with CSS-in-JS libraries
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Keen to learn, mentor and willingness to take ownership of work items
• Possess strong communication and self-accountability

Brief:

We are pursuing a complex set of problems that involve building for an international audience and for an industry that has largely been service-centric. As an SDE at GradRight, you’ll bring an unmatched customer-centricity to your work, with a focus on building for the long term and large scale.

You’ll build beautiful front-end experiences and enable flexible customer journeys while focusing on an international audience.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead design discussions and decisions around building a scalable and modular front-end architecture
2. Write clean and modular code
3. Participate in sprint ceremonies and actively contribute to scaling the engineering organization from a process perspective
4. Stay on top of the software engineering ecosystem and propose new technologies/methodologies that can be adopted
5. Contribute to engineering hiring by conducting interviews
6. Manage and mentor a small team of junior engineers

Requirements:

1. At least 6 years experience as an SDE, with at least 2 years experience leading teams
2. Strong experience with vue.js
3. Able to write maintainable, scalable and unit-testable code
4. Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns
5. Excellent command over data structures and algorithms
6. Passion for solving complex problems
7. Experience with team management
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good to have:

1. Experience with GraphQL and micro-frontend architectures
2. Worked on products that addressed an international audience
3. Worked on products that scaled to millions of users

Role: Senior Front-End Engineer

Experience: 5 – 8 Years

Location: Bangalore

As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will be instrumental in building out our platform. You will work with talented and passionate professionals to implement a flexible, scalable, and extensible learning platform using modern web technologies such as NodeJS, .Net, JavaScript, Angular 4+, GraphQL, Docker, Serverless technologies powered by AWS, LogEntries, Newrelic, etc . We have full-stack teams, where designers, product managers, and engineers work closely to build products that delight our customers.

In this role you will:

• Design and build websites, web services, and mobile applications
• Deploy new features and perform unit testing
• Work on fast-paced, agile technology teams
• Collaborate with software engineers, project managers, business analysts and QA analysts
• Conduct regular system deployments to QA and Production
• Extensive experience with modern web stack technologies, including detailed knowledge of HTML, CSS and CSS preprocessors, JavaScript, Angular or other UI frameworks and libraries such as JQuery, Dojo, Ember, Handlebars or Backbone and MV* frameworks
• Experience working with responsive design development environments
• Proven experience working with REST and/or SOAP WebServices, Object Oriented Design principles & any Object-Oriented Programming language such as Java, Salesforce Apex, JavaScript or .NET

Senior Frontend Developer || CSS, HTML, JavaScript, React.js|| 3+ years exp 

• Write, test, debug and ship code and gather feedback on the scale, performance, security to incorporate back into the platform. 

• Work with the founders to identify complex technical problems and solve them. 
• Work with the product design and client experience development team to support 

them with scalable services 

• Feed into the overall mission and vision of the eParchi’s platform over the period of the coming months and years. 

• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment 
• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills. 

Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms. Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.

Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.

Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.

Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality. Transition existing React web apps to React Native.

4+ years Experience with React Native

BS degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering

Firm grasp of the JavaScript (and TypeScript or ClojureScript) language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax

Knowledge of functional programming

Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code

Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio

Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage Experience with automated testing suites, like Mocha
