React Native Developer

We’re Hiring: React Native Developer Intern

Duration: 1-3 months (Paid internship)

Start Date: Immediate

Location: We are based in Hong Kong but this role is remote so you can work anywhere in the world.

We are looking for a student intern React Native Developer who will be working very closely with our founding engineer to polish and improve the current product.

Key Requirements:

•⁠ ⁠Hands-on experiences with React Native and Expo

•⁠ ⁠Familiar with Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions) and Google Cloud Platform

•⁠ ⁠Good knowledge of Node.js

•⁠ ⁠Able to debug and maintain existing mobile app

•⁠ ⁠Experience launching iOS and Android apps

•⁠ ⁠Good understanding of AI integration in an cost effective manner (DeepSeek experience is a plus)

•⁠ ⁠Bonus: experience with Next.js and Tailwind CSS

•⁠ ⁠Good communication and can work independently

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

-Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax  

-Build pixel-perfect, smooth UIs across both mobile platforms  

-Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms  

-Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native  

-Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming 

-Strong knowledge and experience in either iOS or Android native application development  

-Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Android Studio  

• Architect, build & maintain beautiful, world-class, enterprise-grade mobile apps
• Build for multiple platforms (iOS, Android) using a single code base (ReactNative, Expo
  and CSS)
•  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop & ship new features
• Build and maintain tools and infrastructure to support the rapid development and testing of mobile apps

• Passionate about developing mobile apps for iOS and Android using JavaScript

We are looking for an experienced cross platform Mobile Developer with 2-5 years of building performant mobile apps on both iOS and Android platforms.  You are in top 5% of your field and are passionate about creating new products and innovative code.  We are building a solution that deploys elements of tokenization using block chain, ML driven portfolio selection and risk management, and a proprietary alternate secondary market for illiquid securities.  You would be developing and maintaining Cross platform Android and iOS applications. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Key Requirements

• BE/ BTech or MTech/ Dual degree in Computer Science/ Software engineering or similar from a Tier 1 institute.
• Thorough understanding of Flutter and its core principles.
• Proficient in Dart6 Programming.
• Knowledge of Swift, Obj C, Xamarin & native build tools, like Xcode, Gradle (Android Studio, IntelliJ)
• Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JavaScript & React Native
• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Be extremely conversant in table stakes software engineering toolchain - Linux/Shell, IDE’s, Git, Debuggers, Profilers.
• Strong knowledge of UI design principles, architecture patterns, and best practices for development.
• Ability to write well-documented, clean code
• Experience launching and managing production mobile apps
• Ability to deep dive into problem-solving and build elegant, maintainable solutions to complex problems, in addition to excellent interpersonal skills.

Desired Candidate Profile

Developing new user-facing features using React.js/React Native

• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Ability to work through new and difficult React Native Issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of React Native applications.
