Key Responsibilities

● Understand business requirements and create effective test scenarios and test cases.

● Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, Exploratory, and UI testing.

● Execute end-to-end testing for web applications, APIs, and AI-powered features.

● Validate AI-based applications such as chatbots and LLM-powered workflows for expected behavior, accuracy, and usability.

● Perform API testing using Postman or Swagger.

● Identify, report, track, and verify defects using Jira or similar tools.

● Validate application data using basic SQL queries.

● Collaborate with developers, product managers, and AI engineers in Agile teams.

● Maintain test cases, test execution reports, and QA documentation.

● Participate in sprint planning, release validation, and QA reviews. Required Technical Skills

● Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing fundamentals.

● Knowledge of Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, and Exploratory Testing.

● Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.

● Familiarity with Jira or similar bug tracking tools.

● Basic knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP methods.

● Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

● Exposure to Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is an added advantage.

Basic AI Knowledge (Preferred)

● Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs).

● Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar. ● Basic understanding of prompt-based applications and AI chatbots.

● Awareness of testing AI-generated responses for accuracy, consistency, and edge cases.

● 0–2 years of experience in Manual Testing (internships, academic projects, or full-time experience).

Role overview

We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong manual testing experience to validate enterprise applications across functional, integration and regression scenarios.

You will work closely with product, engineering and business teams to ensure releases are stable, traceable and ready for production use.

Key responsibilities:

1.Test planning and execution

• Create and execute test cases based on requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing across application workflows.
• Validate UI, API and data-driven scenarios with clear evidence and defect documentation.

2.Defect management

• Log, triage, retest and track defects through closure.
• Work with developers and business stakeholders to clarify expected behavior and edge cases.
• Maintain test execution status, defect metrics and release readiness inputs.

3.Collaboration and quality

• Participate in sprint planning, daily reviews, demos and release checkpoints.
• Support UAT preparation and provide clear test summaries for stakeholders.

• 6+ years of QA experience with strong manual testing background.

Review Criteria:

Mandatory:

• Strong UAT / Functional Test Lead Profiles
• Must have minimum 7 years of overall testing experience, with at least 3 years of recent UAT experience, primarily in manual testing for large enterprise or government project
• Must have worked on minimum 2 national-level e-Governance, public sector, enterprise, or marketplace projects in a UAT lead or ownership role
• Must have 3+ years of team handling experience, leading 7–8 QA/UAT members, including task assignment, review, mentoring, and delivery ownership
• Must have complete ownership of UAT activities, including UAT planning, execution, acceptance sign-off, defect management, retesting, and regression cycles.
• Must have strong hands-on manual testing experience, with the ability to create test scenarios and test cases from BRDs, user stories, functional documents, and Figma/UI screens.
• Must be able to understand HLD/LLD documents and API specifications and perform manual API testing based on business logic.
• Must have BE/BTech/MTech/MBA (BSc/BCA alone is not acceptable; with Bsc/BCA candidates must have a relevant postgraduate degree MCA/MTech)

Preferred:

• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or equivalent is preferred

Ideal Candidate:

• 8 + years’ experience in UAT, with at least 2 National-level e-Governance solutions / Enterprise platforms / Marketplace projects.
• Proficiency in test planning, execution oversight, acceptance criteria definition, defect triage, regression cycle management.
• Proficient in understanding business requirements by going through BRDs, User Stories, Figma screens to define test scenarios and test cases.
• Ability to analyze high level and low-level design documents, API specifications to identify the business logic developed and create test cases to test the APIs.
• Hands-on experience of defining high quality test scenarios, test cases with ability to review and guide the test team members in doing the same.
