About What You’ll Be Doing

DirectShifts is growing rapidly and we are looking for a full-stack engineer to join our technical team, working out of India. We need incredibly tenacious engineers who are not only great engineers but who can bring unique value to our rapidly growing team.

If you are passionate about coding – and do it on a day-to-day basis, then this is the place for you.

We are big fans of focusing mainly on two things: 1) talking to users and 2) build products. 

You will be responsible for implementing ideas and mocks for our app (web and mobile) which is used daily by healthcare professionals, internal users, and healthcare employers - you will own the frontend development as well as the building blocks and the APIs that power the web app (and the mobile apps). You need to be comfortable dabbling with some basic infrastructure management on AWS.

About You

Ideal Qualifications

• Recent Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and React.js
• 4+ years of work experience, primarily as a full-stack developer
• A strong foundation of Ruby on Rails
• Strong React, HTML, Javascript & CSS skills
• High ownership at all stages of product development - from conception to maintenance
• Adaptability - learn new technologies as and when needed
• Good communication skills to get your point across
• Bachelor in Computer Science
• Ability to work remotely

Bonus Skills

• Redux experience
• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience with cloud services (preferably AWS)

As an HR Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring top talent for our organization. Responsibilities:

• Source and recruit candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and referrals
• Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates
• Conduct initial phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications
• Manage the interview process, including scheduling and coordinating interviews with candidates and hiring panel
• Communicate effectively with candidates throughout the hiring process, providing feedback and updates as necessary
• Negotiate offers with candidates and extend job offers to successful candidates
• Conduct reference and background checks on potential employees
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate information and hiring processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

Job description

The role requires you to design development pipelines from the ground up, Creation of Docker Files,  design and operate highly available systems in AWS Cloud environments. Also involves Configuration Management, Web Services Architectures, DevOps Implementation, Database management, Backups, and Monitoring.

Key responsibility area
- Ensure reliable operation of CI/CD pipelines
- Orchestrate the provisioning, load balancing, configuration, monitoring and billing of resources in the cloud environment in a highly automated manner
- Logging, metrics and alerting management.
- Creation of Bash/Python scripts for automation
- Performing root cause analysis for production errors.

Requirement
- 2 years experience as Team Lead.
- Good Command on kubernetes.
- Proficient in Linux Commands line and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in AWS Services. Deployment, Monitoring and troubleshooting applications in AWS.
- Hands-on experience with CI tooling preferably with Jenkins. 
- Proficient in deployment using Ansible.
- Knowledge of infrastructure management tools (Infrastructure as cloud) such as terraform, AWS cloudformation etc.
- Proficient in deployment of applications behind load balancers and proxy servers such as nginx, apache. 
- Scripting languages: Bash, Python, Groovy.
- Experience with Logging, Monitoring, and Alerting tools like ELK(Elastic-search, Logstash, Kibana), Nagios. Graylog, splunk Prometheus, Grafana is a plus.

Must Have:
Linux, CI/CD(Jenkin), AWS, Scripting(Bash,shell Python, Go), Ngnix, Docker.

Good to have
Configuration Management(Ansible or similar tool), Logging tool( ELK or similar), Monitoring tool(Ngios or similar), IaC(Terraform, cloudformation).
