Job description

We are seeking a skilled Laravel Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software programs using the Laravel framework. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.

Experience:

• Minimum 2.5 years in Laravel
• Minimum 6 months in Cursor AI

• Design, develop, and maintain software programs using PHP and the Laravel framework.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, Vue.JS and CSS.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• B-Tech in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Candidate Profile:

• Strong understanding of PHP and Laravel Framework.
• Produce high quality code and experience with security implementations Identifying application security risks and Implementing security patches procedures.
• Strong hold on MySQL and experience on other SQL/No SQL databases.
• Hands on experience in Architecture and Design with experience in UML and Work-flow diagrams.
• Good knowledge on coding standards, unit testing.
• Strong hold on Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Expertise in building scalable & reliable systems.
• Good Experience in working with technologies like AWS.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Able to architect large software from scratch.
• Team building and resource allocation.
• Should be able to work with the management to identify and address any issues that may impact the project.

As a Senior Software Engineer you have complete ownership of building out the Docexa product along with product people and the rest of the engineering team. This role will act as a great springboard to accelerate career growth & transition into a Tech Lead level role.

Must-have skills

• You’ve been building web applications professionally for 4+ years
• You’re proficient in PHP 7, Laravel, and PostgreSQL
• You possess strong OOP and design pattern knowledge
• You are familiar with modern technology systems: AWS, load balancers, Kafka queues, caching, etc.
• You write understandable, testable and easy to maintain code
• You’ve the ability to build RESTful APIs
• Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support team, and fellow engineers is not a problem for you
• Well versed with the fundamentals of computer science and distributed systems

• Laravel/ Zend/ CakePHP/ CodeIgniter/ Symfony, or equivalent.

• Experience in writing high performance and high scalable code using best practice and coding standards.

• Must have knowledge of MVC design patterns, XHTML/HTML5, PHP, CSS3, XML, MySQL/MSSQL, JavaScript jQuery, json objects, API, AJAX functionality and client-side validation.
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance.
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Knowledge of using version control software such as SVN or GIT will be preferable.
• Experience in either Mobile application or Data Integration with other apps would be preferred.

• 2-4 years of demonstrable hands-on work in web-based application development experiences in a professional environment, including interaction design for dynamic, data-driven applications (not HTML based website) delivered via the web, or the equivalent.

Requirements:

1. Developing software solutions in conjunction with Relational theory, Rest APIs and NoSQL database technologies

2. Knowledge of cloud based technologies in AWS or Azure will be added advantage

3. Understanding of RDBMS technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL.

4. Hands-on with Version control systems (GIT, SVN) and Unix/Ubuntu.

5. Experience in requirement analysis, HLD, LLD, unit & integration testing.

6. Good hands on experience in debugging application issues
