PHP Developer/Sr. Developer

At StarApps, we ship on quality and time. Our team deploys new code many times a week, and our production scale is massive. Your code will improve the shopping experience of more than 50 million shoppers every day – a challenging but incredibly rewarding responsibility.

We're looking for Senior Software Developers passionate about solving tough problems with performant code. This role is based in Pune, and ou will be closely working with the leadership team to design and ship products that are highly impactful.

Requirements for the role:

• 4+ years of experience.
• You've worked on large-scale web applications or software products.
• High English proficiency - both written and spoken.
• A product-minded developer who cares about the "Why" - Why build this feature? How will we measure impact?
• A generalist (or a Full Stack developer), excited by problems, and unblocks anything that stands in the way of success.
• A strong foundation of design, and coding principles to enable scale
• Experience in writing automated tests as part of your development workflow (TDD)
• Strong logical mindset and ability to break problems into simple logical steps
• A passion for efficiency and collaboration, with a history of establishing great relationships and mentoring others in the team
• Bonus point for previous experience working within the e-commerce industry
• More bonus points for experience in Ruby and/or Ruby on Rails, or the desire to learn quickly

Key Responsibilities:

•  Participating in the design and creation of scalable software/apps
• Writing clean, functional code on the front end and back end
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
• Designing and developing APIs
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, and Redux.
• Experience with user interface design.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Proficiency with server-side languages such as Node.js
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Skills: React JS/Next JS, NodeJs, ExpressJs,JavaScript, Typescript, Restful/SOAP web servicesMongo DB(NoSQL/SQL)database technologies.

Experience preferred:

● You have a strong passion for start-ups and the proactiveness to deliver

● You are good at web technologies like React JS/Next JS, JavaScript, Typescript
● You are good at web technologies like Restful/SOAP web services
● You are good at caching and third-party integration
● You are strong on debugging and troubleshooting skills
● If you have Knowledge of Python, Chrome extension & DevOps development is a plus.
● You must be proficient in building scalable backend infrastructure software or distributed systems with exposure to Front-end and backend libraries/frameworks.
● Experience with Databases and micro services architecture is an advantage
● You should be able to push your limits and go beyond your role to scale the product

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• You have 2+ years* of experience using two or more development languages (Java, JavaScript, Ruby, C#, etc.) with experience in Object-Oriented programming
• You can write clean, high-quality code in a variety of languages and are also able to spot (and improve) bad code
• You’re resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives
• You have experience with Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, TDD, Infrastructure as Code, etc.
• Bonus points if you have knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes
• You’re willing and able to commit to travel to client sites in order to solve their business problems
