PHP Developer

We are looking for a Staff Engineer - Python to join one of our engineering teams at our office in Hyderabad.

What would you do?

• Own end-to-end delivery of backend projects from requirements and LLDs to production.
• Lead technical design and execution, ensuring scalability, reliability, and code quality.
• Build and integrate chatbot and AI-driven workflows with third-party systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance and production issues.
• Drive testing, documentation, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers and act as the primary technical point of contact for the project/client.

Who Should Apply?

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building backend systems in Python.
• Proficiency in building web-based applications using Django or similar frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of the Python stack and API-first system design.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, or key-value stores.
• Strong experience owning design, delivery, and technical decision-making.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers through reviews and execution.
• Clear communicator with a high-ownership, delivery-focused mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience contributing to system-level design discussions.
• Prior exposure to AI/LLM-based systems or conversational platforms.
• Experience working directly with clients or external stakeholders.
• Background in fast-paced product or service environments.

Requirements

• Extensive and expert programming experience in at least one general programming language (e. g. Java, C, C++) & tech stack to write maintainable, scalable, unit-tested code.
• Experience with multi-threading and concurrency programming.
• Extensive experience in object-oriented design skills, knowledge of design patterns, and a huge passion and ability to design intuitive modules and class-level interfaces.
• Excellent coding skills - should be able to convert the design into code fluently.
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development. Good understanding of databases (e. g. MySQL) and NoSQL (e. g. HBase, Elasticsearch, Aerospike etc).
• Strong desire to solve complex and interesting real-world problems.
• Experience with full life cycle development in any programming language on a Linux platform. Go-getter attitude that reflects in energy and intent behind assigned tasks.
• Worked in a startup-like environment with high levels of ownership and commitment.
• BTech, MTech or Ph. D. in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
• Experience in building highly scalable business applications, which involve implementing large complex business flows and dealing with huge amounts of data.
• 3+ years of experience in the art of writing code and solving problems on a large scale.
• An open communicator who shares thoughts and opinions frequently listens intently and takes constructive feedback

Programming skills in PHP  Yii / CakePHP / Zend PHP / Codeigniter / Laravel along MySQL
• Strong Knowledge in Responsive Web Design
• Excellent knowledge on HTML5, CSS3 bootstrap, JavaScript , CSS, AJAX, HTML4/5 & JQUERY

Responsibilities :-

·        Discuss training plans with customers to build custom courses to suit their needs.

• Maintain records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
• Develop programs and processes that provide a service to industry, business, students, and/or other external/internal clients.
• Serve as technical assistant or point of contact with customer until 'go live' date and hand-off to support.
• Update course documentation as needed to ensure timeliness and relevance.
• Has a mix of being a technical instructor, a solution architect, and an evangelist.
• Coordination of training schedules to ensure the most efficient use of resources.
• Work in tandem with peers in technical training to develop best in class training department across all areas of training.
• Responsible for lectures, demonstration, discussion, and related instructional delivery methods.
• Deliver standard and customized training based on field needs and the delivery of new product and technology training in support of field readiness.
• Help to create, test, and review new and existing courseware.
• Build relationships with OCI product development teams to understand roadmaps and plan for content updates or new training offerings.
• Keep informed of and maintain proficiency with all company products.
• Coordinate logistics for instruction events, including scheduling classes reserving classrooms, travel arrangements and preparing workstations.
