About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Backend Engineer (Fresher) who is eager to learn and grow as a software engineer. In this role, you will work closely with experienced team members to build backend services, understand real-world system design, and strengthen your core engineering skills.

Key Responsibilities

 Assist in developing backend features and services using Python

 Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following best practices  Apply basic data structures and algorithms to solve programming problems

 Work with relational databases to store, retrieve, and update data

 Learn and use caching systems and message queues as part of backend workflows

 Build and consume REST APIs

Required Skills & Qualifications

 Good understanding of Python fundamentals

 Basic knowledge of data structures and problem solving

 Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)  Familiarity with Git and version control systems

 Understanding of basic backend concepts such as HTTP, APIs, and request–response flow

 Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly

Good to Have

 Basic exposure to caching concepts or tools like Redis

 Introductory knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)  Awareness of GenAI concepts or tools (LLMs, APIs) is a plus

Requirements / Experience:

• 1-3+ years of PHP application development experience
• Strong Experience using Laravel/CodeIgniter/ Symfonyframeworks
• Strong experience and theoretical knowledge of PHP
• Front end and back end development expertise
• JavaScript (Vue.js, React, node, Typescript, RequireJS)
• Front end frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.)
• Good background with SQL Databases (writing queries, optimization, query builders usage, ORMs)
• API development and documentation (OpenAPI)
• Troubleshooting (ability to react in the most effective manner to eliminate technical issues)
• Solution-Making (ability to propose the most effective technical solutions)
• NoSQL experience is nice to have
• Ability to work on existing live projects and do the modifications as required. 
• Ability to work independently and in a team as well

Requirements:

• Required skills: PHP and its framework (Laravel), code versioning tools (GIT), MVC Framework, etc.
• At least 3 - 5 year of working experience in PHP or related fields is required for this position.
• Good in MySQL and database designing.
• Experience of working with REST API design and its implementation.
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
• Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
• Excellent project and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a group.
• Ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English.

• Previous working experience as a MySQL Developer for at least 3 years
• Identify opportunities for improved performance in SQL operations and implementations
• Oversee the operations of the production and staging environments databases
• Give design recommendations for database functions that meet business operating standards while improving the efficiency of business processes
• Train and mentor junior personnel on best practices

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a database programmer
• Excellent MySQL/PostgreSQL/MS-SQL development skills
• Experience in writing stored views, procedures, triggers etc.
• Excellent knowledge in RDBMS (important features)
• Strong problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting, and diagnosing
• Solid knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL technologies
• Experience in developing back-ends for enterprise systems
• Knowledge of debugging, performance and optimization techniques
• Experience in RDBMS technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.
• Experience in No SQL technologies like MongoDB, Cassandra etc.
• Knowledge of Caching DB like Redis, Memcached etc.
• Knowledge of Search DB like Solr, Elasticsearch etc.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.

• Mandatory skills -PHP Experience.
• Experience in web application development and web developer.
• Good Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, jQuery, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, XML
• Good debugging skills .
• Expertise in MVC Frameworks and good technology exposure of CI/Larvel frameworks added advantage.
