PHP Developer

Position Overview: We are looking for a senior developer who must be capable of building services using modern microservices architecture with NodeJS & serverless frameworks. Should have strong knowledge of ObjectOriented Concepts, and Node. Js frameworks like loopback, RDBMS, and microservice patterns. The candidate should be comfortable with application coding based on design and specifications, and also be comfortable working with JSON and RESTful services. The candidate must be a top-notch developer committed to keeping learning new things and becoming an integral part of and fostering growth within our development team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining the backend systems that support the application
• Designing and implementing APIs and Microservices architecture to handle the application workload
• Developing and optimizing queries for RDBMS (MySQL) to manage data and ensure performance and scalability
• Managing and deploying the application on AWS using Lambda, ECS and other related services
• Collaborating with front-end developers to ensure smooth communication between front-end and back-end systems and back-end systems
• Writing clean, neat and reusable code that follows coding standards and best practices.
• Participating in code reviews and ensuring that coding standards are maintained
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise in production environments
• Optimizing the application for performance, scalability, and security
• Continuously learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in software development
• Documenting technical specifications, processes, and system design

• Storing data and ensuring that it is displayed to that user who are supposed to have access to it
• Developing business logic for systems to process in the front end
• Managing APIs resources which work across the Product Architecture
• Participating in the architecture of a system and data science analysis
• Organizing the logic of the system which runs across various tiers
• Involving in building frameworks or the architecture to make it easier to program against
• Back-end developers should have the skill for implementing algorithms and solving system related problems

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2-5 years of experience in rest api/Database design, development and architecture
• Strong programming and debugging skills with sound understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming
• PHP/ Mysql experience with hands on application delivery is a must
• Hands on experience with an API management
• Experience with synchronous and asynchronous interfaces and Microservice API development is a must
• Hands-on experience with version control system like Git is desirable
• Knowledge in PHP, Codeigniter, Doctrine, MySQL, ElasticSearch, ReST endpoint development
• Implementing API management using API management software (like Apigee or others) to include API proxies mashups, rate limiting, security, analytics, monetization and developer portals
• Kafka/RabbitMQ messaging architecture notification
• Knowledge of Algorithms and data structures is also essential
• An awareness of security concerns is important, as each layer has its vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of the differences between multiple delivery platforms like mobile vs. desktop
• Basic exposure to frontend techs like HTML and CSS is desirable    

He/she should have minimum 3 yrs working experience on PHP, PHP Frameworks, Ajax, Knowledge on CMS platform like Open cart, payment gateway integration, experience working on portals.

Required Skills :

- Bachelor/ Master degree from good college.

- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structure

- Ability & Readiness to work with any technology

- Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes.

- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.

• Write well designed, testable, scalable and efficient code and oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct code review) and provide guidance to team members
• Apply design principles to ensure code modularity and error handling at appropriate levels
• Communicate software requirements to development teams

Desired Skills and Experience

• 2-7years of relevant experience in an online start-up with a record of substantial achievements

in the specific role

• Strong programming foundation in PHP, MySQL, Oops Concepts and can develop core PHP based applications
• Must have worked on MVC frameworks – Laravel, CodeIgniter, Cake PHP or Zend.
• Experience with JavaScript and jQuery for producing AJAX applications.
• HTML5, CSS3, XML knowledge is mandatory
• Ability to make modifications to the systems with little or no interruption of service
• Solid exposure to API integrations and familiar with various design & architectural patterns
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
