JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Framework: CodeIgniter (Mandatory), Laravel (Good to have)
• Hands-on experience with OOPS, PHP, MVC frameworks, MySQL, CSS, AJAX, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Should be able to work under tight deadlines.
• Expert in JavaScript, JQuery, and Ajax.
• Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
• Excellent debugging, optimization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working Experience in SOAP and RESTful APIs.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The developer is expected to be able to perform all aspects of the development tasks, including front-end, back-end, and database development.
• Develop web applications and rich multimedia experiences according to the brief and technical specifications.
• Must have experience and knowledge in CodeIgniter Framework.
• The applicant is expected to possess strong problem-solving, programming, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
• Must know about web services and serialization techniques like REST, SOAP, XML & JSON.

• At least two years of experience as a Node.js developer.

Responsibilities

• Guide the team : Help the junior engineers to unblock them and guide them on best design practices. Help in code reviewing on a regular basis.
• Responsible for code delivery : Pushing deploys on a constant basis. When working in a growth stage company, this part can be challenging as the speed of requirements is high. You will need to make sure you are able to push code on a regular basis.
• Design & Architecture : You need to have technical expertise in the company's tech stack and in general the frontend or backend infrastructures.
• Prepare thorough technical documentation which can be used as a reference by other engineers.
• Own your product : You will be responsible for the success / failure of your team and the product. You will need to work with cross functional teams, understand their requirements and make sure that everybody is on the same page.

Requirements

• Past experience of working for tier 1 / vc funded companies.
• 3+ years of commercial work experience in the relevant domains.
• Continuous past experience of delivering products at a steady pace.
• Experience in the following would be preferred.
• Node Js for Backend Engineers

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience: 5+ years

Location: Bangalore

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and code features in the back-end as per the specifications provided by the Product and Design teams.
• Ship features in fast moving agile sprints.
• Work closely with Product Design and Product Management teams to brainstorm and chalk out details of features.
• Ability to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completion.
• Strong skills in architecting database models.
• Ability to document your code as this will be an open-core project.
• Ability to write unit, integration, and end to end tests.
• Conduct peer code review.

Must have:

• Strong understanding of Javascript and NodeJS.
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming, callback, and closures.
• Experience developing applications that use queues like SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with AWS services like S3, EC2, etc.
• Experience with Docker.
• Should be strong in Postgres database.
• Test driven development and use of frameworks like Mocha, Cypress.
