Role Overview :

We seek passionate polyglot developers (Java/Python/Go) who love solving complex problems and building elegant digital products.

You’ll work closely with clients and teams, applying Agile practices to deliver impactful digital experiences..

Mandatory Skills :

Strong in Java/Python/Go (any 2), with frontend experience in React/Angular, plus knowledge of HTML, CSS, CI/CD, Unit Testing, and DevOps.

Key Skills & Requirements :

Backend (80% Focus) :

• Strong expertise in Java, Python, or Go (at least 2 backend stacks required).
• Additional exposure to Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Rust is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance backend systems.

Frontend (20% Focus) :

• Proficiency in React or Angular
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Other Must-Haves :

• Strong understanding of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance enterprise software solutions using Java and Spring. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing robust REST APIs and orchestrating complex workflows across a microservice architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code within Spring Boot Applications and Services
• API Design: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs to power front-end applications and third-party integrations. Build high-throughput, high-availability, and low-latency systems
• Microservices Orchestration: Orchestrate data flow and business logic across multiple microservices to ensure seamless end-to-end functionality.
• Database Management: Design schema, interact with, and optimize both NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) and SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL) databases.
• Code Quality & Tooling: Leverage AI coding tools such as Cursor, CodeX, GitHub Copilot or similar tools to enhance productivity, accelerate development cycles, and maintain high code quality standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define, design, and ship new features.
• System Architecture: Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, mentor and guide junior engineers, and help shape the future direction of our software platform.

REQUIREMENTS 

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering, preferably enterprise software development
• AI/ML Concepts: An understanding of AI agents, their application in enterprise systems, use of MCP servers and the principles of context engineering.
• Frontend Development: Experience with React, Next.js, component libraries like mui, and an interest in being a full stack developer. An understanding of CSS, HTML DOM is a plus.
• Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• DevOps Practices: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

Product management

• Work closely with the product team to translate abstract business & product requirements into crisp technical specifications along with a delivery roadmap

Product Development

• Define code architecture decisions to support a high-performance and scalable product with a minimal footprint
• Developing the frontend/backend and APIs, primarily using the MERN stack for Troopod.
• Delivering a robust backend platform for the product by incorporating important considerations regarding minimal downtime, high availability, data redundancy, tight security, etc. into the design
• Preparing test cases, creating automated build and test processes, setting up systems for CI/CD, and monitoring for the product
• Deploying on AWS using the right services for optimal performance
• Support the Troopod mobile application in its entirety, including working on bug fixes and improving application performance, reliability, and stability
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Managing development and deployment of the product following Modular programming, proper documentation, and code versioning

Customer Success

• Ensuring seamless use of Troopod Web-app and Mobile App by clients or internal teams and successful integration of client systems with Troopod backend and APIs wherever applicable
• Assisting clients with necessary remote support needed for the smooth understanding of and integration with Troopod product

Team Growth

• Contributing to the growth of the engineering team through proactive effort on knowledge growth, process improvements, and performance enhancements on existing solutions

Prior experience in the following things is MUST:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on technical development experience as a MERN stack developer
• In-depth knowledge of NodeJS, Express or Restify
• Experience implementing applications using ReactJS and React Native
