About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with 4+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong backend expertise in Java, Python and Node.js while also being capable of handling frontend development when required.

This role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, ownership mindset, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Java and Node.js.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
• Work with frontend technologies to build and enhance user-facing features.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver business requirements.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
• Manage database design, optimization, and integrations.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and related backend frameworks.
• Strong experience with Node.js, Express.js, and API development.
• Good understanding of Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of Redis, caching mechanisms, and message queues is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

Frontend Requirements :

• Ability to work on frontend development when required.
• Experience with React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Understanding of responsive design and modern UI development practices.

Job description

Requirements:

• 4+ years of commercial experience;
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES5, ES6+), HTML5, CSS3;
• Good understanding of CSS Preprocessors, such as LESS and Sass;
• Experience with React/Redux is a must;
• Experience with TypeScript;
• Upper-Intermediate English;
• Strong knowledge in Node.js (Express);
• Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban);
• Experience with build tools, code coverage, and testing frameworks Webpack, jest etc.;
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases PostgreSQL, MongoDB;
• Strong Knowledge with Rest API;

Nice to have:

• Experience with CI/CD;

As technical lead, you will be responsible for complete product development including 

1. Identification of technology
2. Shaping engineering practices
3. Hiring engineering team
4. Shaping up the product

• Extensive experience in building REST APIs
• Experience in building, managing, and enhancing backend / server-side development using java / java scripts. Expertise in NodeJS is preferred
• The person must have built systems that consume and process volumes of data from various sources. Experience in handling and managing data in NoSQL databases such as Mongodb.
• Extensive experience of building custom UI for web using the popular frameworks like angular and react. Experience in developing mobile UI is nice to have
• Experience of working with code repositories such as Github and GitLab.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience of working on Cloud environments and experience in AWS is preferred.
