Role: Senior Software Developer (Full Stack) - Python

Location: Coimbatore

Responsibilities:

● Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

● Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

● Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

Requirements:

● Proven work experience as a Full Stack Engineer or Senior Software Developer.

● Strong experience designing and developing scalable and interactive applications.

● Hands-on expertise in React or similar UI technologies for frontend development and Python or other modern backend languages.

● Experience in mobile app development (e.g., React Native, Flutter, or Native Android/iOS).

● Deep understanding of relational databases.(e.g.,PostgreSQL/MySQL) with strong proficiency in SQL.

● Experience with ORM frameworks (e.g., TypeORM, SQLAlchemy or similar).

● Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and caching systems like Redis is a plus.

● Test-driven development and automated testing experience is a plus.

● Proficiency with modern software engineering tools, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

● Strong ownership mindset with ability to lead teams, mentor developers, and drive end-to-end delivery.

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders.

● Working knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms is an added advantage.

• 1-3 years of experience in full-stack development.
• Strong experience in Python (Django).

Job Summary:

As a  Software Engineer II  at OpenGov, you'll build best-in-class SaaS solutions that enable efficiency, transparency, and accountability within government agencies. You'll be a key member of our engineering team, delivering new features and improvements in a fast-paced, agile environment using modern technologies, including ReactJS, Javascript, GraphQL, and NodeJS.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• BA/BS in a computer-science-related discipline or equivalent experience required
• 3+ years of professional experience in developing cloud native applications.
• Proficiency in Java or C++ or C# or equivalent program language is required.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS is required 
• Proficiency in data structures, database concepts, algorithms and observability is required
• Working knowledge of event-driven architecture and Kafka preferred
• Working knowledge of ElasticSearch/OpenSearch preferred

·        Designing and building the website front-end.

Eligibility

·        Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.

·        Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.

·        Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.

·        Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.

·        Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.

·        Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.

·        Ability to manage projects.

·        Good communication skills.

You have:

• 4- 15  years of relevant experience in full stack development in a reputed B2B SAAS company, preferably contract lifecycle management company (e.g. Pandadoc, Ironclad, Docusign, Zoho, Cloudcherry, Spot Draft etc)
• Experience in the following tech stack: JavaScript, Typescript, Angular, Python, Django, REST API, MySQL, Google Cloud
• Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts and experience managing one database (MySQL, PostgresSQL, etc)
• Solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform (or AWS)
• Strong experience and/or expertise in building customized text editors
• Strong experience with Python data analysis libraries
• Experience and/or expertise in building No-Code platforms
• Experience leading a small team of engineers in an agile/scrum setup

Preferred additional qualifications:

• Experience in building integrations with third party tools.
• Automated testing and data quality assurance experience
• Experience in data analytics
• Experience in working with data scientist to build and/or deploy ML models to solve specific problems
• Experience in working with Microsoft Cloud Storage Partner Program (CSPP)
• Experience in a startup environment
• Experience in Blockchain and Web3 technologies

• Proven working experience in web programming.
• Top-notch Programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML5/CSS/jQuery.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, JavaScript.
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development.
• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools.
• Basic knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization process.
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• BCA/MCA/B.Tech/BSc in computer science or a related field

• Previous experience working as a React.js Developer.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git )
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Good project management skills.
