MERN Stack Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will lead full-stack development initiatives, mentor the development team, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using modern technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end components using AngularJS.
• Build secure RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot.
• Integrate and manage MongoDB for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA teams.
• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding best practices.
• Debug and resolve technical issues across the full stack.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for frontend and backend.
• Manage Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven track record in full-stack development.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in AngularJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Strong backend skills using Java & Spring Boot.
• Experience with MongoDB, including schema design and queries.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and web architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Postman, Maven, Git.
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, and serialization formats.
• Strong knowledge of web security best practices.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines.

Leadership Skills:

• Prior experience leading a development team (preferred).
• Ability to mentor, guide, and coach junior developers.
• Strong project planning and coordination abilities.

What you'll be doing:

• As a Staff Engineer you will be responsible for the design of the features in the product roadmap

• Creating and encouraging good software development practices engineering-wide, driving strategic technical improvements, and mentoring other engineers.

• You will write code as we expect our technical leadership to be in the trenches alongside junior engineers, understanding root causes and leading by example

• You will mentor engineers

• You will own relationships with other engineering teams and collaborate with other functions within Blue Yonder

• Drive architecture and designs to become simpler, more robust, and more efficient.

• Lead designs discussion and come up with robust and more efficient designs to achieve features in product roadmap

• Take complete responsibility of the features developed right from coding till deployments

• Introduce new technology and tools for the betterment of the product

• Guides fellow engineers to look beyond the surface and fix the root causes rather than symptoms.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech Computer science or related specialization) and minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in Software development, has been an Architect, within the last 1-2 years minimum. • Strong programming experience and background in Node JS and React JS.

• Hands-on development skills along with architecture/design experience.

• Hands-on experience on designing, building deploying and maintenance of enterprise cloud solutions.

• Demonstrable experience, thorough knowledge, and interests in Cloud native architecture, Distributed micro-services, Multi-tenant SaaS solution and Cloud Scalability, performance, and High availability

• Experience with API management platforms & providing / consuming RESTful APIs

• Experience with varied tools such as REST, Hibernate, RDBMS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, React.

• Hands-on development experience on Oracle PL/SQL.

• Experience with DevOps and infrastructure automation.

You should have

● 5 - 8 years of professional experience in Node.js

● Strong Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks - Express.js

● Hands-on experience in creating, designing and using RESTful API

Desired candidates must have 7+ years of total experience in backend development with good expertise in MEAN Stack (MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS, Node.js) and JavaScript, along with strong development and coding skills, good analytical and problem-solving skills.

What You'll Do

• Create the system architecture for any product from scratch as well as drive it for more than one development teams
• Design and deliver solutions that enable fast and efficient deployment of quality code to production
• Document the architectural blueprint and end to end design through flowcharts and diagrams.
• Set coding standards for development teams and ensure all released code is following standards
• Oversee the code review process, performing reviews when necessary
• Establish strong communication channels and relationships with the development teams, supporting them throughout the release cycle
• Continuously evaluate the existing software to identify areas of improvement and ensure architectural integrity as additional features are added.
• Lead DevOps and implement tooling and process improvements when you identify gaps
• Work with various stakeholders and identify the scope of the work, provide high level estimations, create a timeline and come up with the approach and design for the same.
