MEAN Stack Developer

We’re hiring a Full Stack Developer (5+ years, Pune location) to join our growing team!

You’ll be working with React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, APIs, and cloud deployments to build scalable and high-performing web applications.

Responsibilities include developing responsive apps, building RESTful APIs, working with SQL/NoSQL databases, and deploying apps on AWS/Docker.

Role: Senior Software Engineer - MEAN Stack

Reports to: Team Lead

Division/Department: Product

Work Location: India - Remote / Pune

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineers to join our SaaS company. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) and related technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design and develop robust and scalable software solutions using the MEAN stack and other relevant technologies.
• Take ownership of feature development and deliver high-quality code on time.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, and identify and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of software applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies and make recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in MEAN stack development, including MongoDB, Express.js, Angular (version 2 or higher), and Node.js.
• Proven experience working in a product-based company, delivering software solutions to customers.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Agile development practices.
• Proficient in front-end technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
• Solid understanding of back-end technologies including Node.js, RESTful APIs, and server-side frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and familiarity with related services.
• Knowledge of JSON, Kibana, JIRA, and Jenkins is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Job Description:

• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of  back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, PHP, Python)

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role preferably using MEANMERN stack.

Technical Roles and Responsibilities

-  Demonstrate a systematic and disciplined architecture, system design and programming approach following a standard software development lifecycle

-  Meticulous attention to detail and strong focus on clear and practical documentation

-  Work closely with senior management, Development Manager, Project Manager, and a team of developers.

- Design, Code, Unit Test and support Software components

-  Deliver quality software in a time following standard software development processes

-  Analyze problems raised in software development or production environments and provide timely solutions

-  Develop, prepare and maintain system documentation, including program descriptions, operational procedures etc.

-  Act as the second line of support during production problems.

Mandatory Skills:

Software Engineering

u  Strong experience in agile methodologies and test driven development.

u  Experience in software development using open source technologies.

u  Experience in automated software testing.

u  Knowledge in domain-driven design, design patterns and enterprise integration patterns.

u  Must have experience in delivering software via complete Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.

Software Development

u  Must be able to code in Java (SpingBoot and Spring Cloud Services).

u  Experience in some of the technologies below:

o PaaS: Pivotal Cloud Foundy/Openshift/ AWS/ Azure/ Docker/ Kubernetes

o Data: MySQL/ Postgres/ Oracle/ MongoDB/ Elasticsearch

o Cache: Redis/ Memcached

o UI: HTML5,Bootstrap, CSS, Angular 4/ ReactJS/RxJS

 - Strong knowledge in CI/CD toolset such as Ansible, Artifactory, Jenkins, BitBucket, SonarQube, Fortify,  Flyway, Jira and Confluence.

-  Strong knowledge in automated testing toolset such as jUnit, Mockito, cucumber, Selenium etc.

-  Strong knowledge in scripting languages such as Groovy and Linux shell.
