Must-have skills

• Strong PHP fundamentals (OOP, namespaces, Composer, PSR standards)
• Solid experience with Laravel (routing, middleware, validation, Eloquent, queues, jobs, events, notifications)
• Building and consuming REST APIs (auth, pagination, rate limiting, versioning basics)
• Database design + optimization (MySQL/PostgreSQL, indexes, joins, transactions)
• Writing clean, modular code (service classes, repository patterns where appropriate)
• Debugging and troubleshooting production issues (logs, performance bottlenecks)
• Familiarity with Git workflows and code reviews
• Understanding of security basics (OWASP, input validation, auth, RBAC)

Nice to have

• Laravel ecosystem tools: Horizon, Telescope, Sanctum/Passport
• Background jobs + queues (Redis/SQS) and caching strategies
• Testing: PHPUnit / Pest (unit + feature tests)
• Performance tuning (query optimization, profiling, caching)
• Docker and deployment familiarity (Nginx, Supervisor, CI/CD)
• Experience with AWS (S3, RDS, EC2) or similar cloud platforms

Skills:

Job Description / Required Skills

• Strong experience in Database design for complex web and mobile application, including writing complex store procedures, function, triggers and ad-hoc queries.
• Hands-on development experience with T-SQL.
• Strong experience on Database designing, normalization, optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience in advanced SQL programming, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in security, troubleshooting and optimizing the performance of databases and stored procedures.
• Experience in Refactoring/troubleshooting existing databases as needed.
• Deep understanding of referential integrity and indexing.
• Assisting with production database issues and helping to troubleshoot and isolate the root cause of issues and provide issue resolution by interacting with Developers.
• Ability to estimate development tasks accurately and meet agreed upon deadlines.
• Understanding of code promotion, version control and QA procedures.
• Good Communication skills.

Technical Skills:

• MySql, MS-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Profiler.

Position Responsibilities:
1.     Design, implementation, and deployment of applications

Desired Candidate profile: 
1.     A Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education from Elite College or institution and work experience.
2.     4+ years of Software Development experience.
3.     Excellent object-oriented design and coding skills (Java, C++ on a UNIX or Linux platform).
4.     Very strong software development background including design patterns, data structures, test-driven development.
5.     Ability to design and implement systems end to end on your own while maintaining highest coding standards.
6.     Excellent knowledge of design patterns and ability to reflect it in their code.
7.     Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers on the same.
8.     Mandatory work experience in skills sets: REST API, JDBC, RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
9.     Solid Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
10.  Software development experience in Servlet, JSP, Spring, AWS, S3, SQS, building web services and highly scalable applications or Google Cloud Suite.
11.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
