About the job

• Design and implement robust backend systems and APIs using Java or similar backend language and Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks
• Integrate backend services with existing custom ERP systems 
• Work closely with the founder on product architecture, feature prioritization, and go-to-market feedback
• Take full ownership of features — from system design and development to deployment and iterative improvements
• Help shape our engineering culture and technical foundations

You're a Great Fit If You:

• Have 3+ years of experience in backend development
• Are strong in Java or similar languages (e.g., Kotlin, Go, Node.js)
• Have solid experience with Spring Boot or equivalent backend frameworks
• Have integrated with ERP or enterprise systems in production environments
• Are comfortable with both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Understand REST API development, authentication, Docker

• Write “clean”, well-designed code
• Design overall architecture of the web application and maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team and work on code versioning tools such as GIT.
• Carry out risk analysis of introducing new technology for development and infrastructure to ensure security and ultimate goal.
• Maintaining existing codebase, to include troubleshooting bugs and adding new features.
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
• Documenting application changes and developing updates.
• Develop the quality product using best practices of Laravel.

• Preferably 5+ years of experience in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, & PHP) development stack
• Proven software development experience in PHP and of developing REST (JSON) / SOAP (XML) based web services
• Experience in Cloud platform like AWS/Azure
• Experience with HTML5 / JavaScript (JQuery) / CSS / AJAX / Angular / Yii Framework is preferred
• Experience in caching solutions like Redis and Memcached
• Experience in tools like Ansible, Docker
• Knowledge of source control systems such as GIT is a plus

• Be able to work in cross-function teams
• Write high-quality code per industry standards and best practices
• Test the code for quality assurance, debug identified bugs and resolve issues
• Support in deploying and maintenance of product and services
• Documenting product services progress, status, and manuals
• Participate in team meetings and planning & review sessions

• 3+ years of recent hands-on Java development
• Java, Python, JavaScript programming languages
• Fluency with RESTful APIs, AngularJS, HTML5 and CSS
• Great understanding of designing for performance, scalability, and reliability of data intensive application
• Understanding of database fundamentals and advanced SQL knowledge
• In-depth understanding of object oriented programming concepts and design patterns
• Ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing
• Understanding of full software development life cycle, agile development and continuous integration
• Experience in Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban

What puts you over the top:

• Exposure to various technologies like Spring Boot, Microservices, Kubernetes and also some frontend technologies like React.js, Node.js or other UI frameworks.
