At Mighty (getmighty.in), we are looking for an experienced back-end developer with 6-10 years of experience who can grow into our CTO in 2-3 years. This role comes with the opportunity to work with an experienced team on a very large problem in fintech.

We are a pre-seed stage startup & have set aside a large ESOP for this role that will create significant wealth for the successful candidate.

Our core customer-facing product today is a native Android application. In addition to this, we are building internal tools for customer support, investment management, marketing analytics and business management. In the future, we plan to hugely expand the features in our core product, build iOS and web products, and continuously improve our internal tools to better serve our customers.

 

For our back-end, we use Node.js / MySQL / AWS. We are currently a 3-member engineering team (1 back-end, 1 Android, 1 full stack) led by our founding engineer and advised by a senior technology executive from a leading fintech company.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve our software applications
• Build reusable libraries and frameworks that support complex web applications
• Set-up our technology infrastructure and integrate with 3rd party applications
• Contribute to internal discussions around product features, roadmap and technologies used
• Mentor & recruit engineers to the team
• Set up processes related to engineering & product

 

Skills / Required Experience:

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent, with solid foundational knowledge in at least two general programming languages, data structures, algorithms, system architecture, security and networking protocols.
• At least 6 years of back-end development experience in a software product company is required for this role.
• Exposure to modern software development processes, multiple front-end and back-end technologies, and open-source software.
• Proficiency with tools like Gitlab/Jira/Firebase, as well as AWS and commonly used database systems etc. is required
• Experience in an early-stage startup or having founded your own startup would be good to have (but not necessary).

JUNIOR BACKEND ENGINEER (GOLANG) -REMOTE
Position requirements:•
Professional experience with Golang ( 1year must in Golang), Python, Java Core and Java reactive
•Experience in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
•1+years of backend programming experience using modern programming languages

WORK YOU’LL DO

• Design and develop microservices/APIs using either Java/Spring boot, ISTIO, Kubernetes, Docker, CI / CD Pipelines
• You would scale micro services using Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and application architectures to understand the operational objectives and purpose of the future system integration.
• Understand the points of integration between the different systems and highlight the potential risks associated with the delivery of solutions
• Collaborate with Functional Designers and Developers in order to find best solutions
• Produce detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Assist in producing solutions with threat assessments and associated security awareness.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 5- 8 years of hands-on experience designing and developing microservices using either Java/Spring Boot
• 3-5 years of experience with system integration
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, GraphQL, and Swagger
• Experience developing within agile methodology using CI/CD pipeline
• Experienced in 3-tier, n-tier, cloud computing, microservices architectures and SOA.
• Good knowledge of integration architectures
• Experience supporting and/or implementing complex integration projects
• Excellent client management skills
• Experience with Data modelling would be an asset

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer / Information Science (BE / BTech) or Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA) Experience:
• Two to five years general software engineering experience
• Experience in web development using the Ruby on Rails web application framework
• At least two years of Ruby on Rails programming experience
• Thorough understanding of the philosophy and design of Ruby on Rails
• Desktop publishing skills: HTML5, xHTML, CSS

Knowledge of:

• JavaScript and JavaScript libraries: jQuery, Plugins etc.
• Unix and Linux systems
• Relational databases: SQL, etc.
• Frameworks: Active record, etc.

•Candidate must have at-least 2 years of experience.

•Good command over PHP, MySQL and jQuery.

•Must have knowledge of any framework. (Experience on Yii2 or Laravel framework will be extra advantage).

•Candidate must be a good team player, have proven logical and programming skills.

Should have experience in working with Laravel framework

Responsibilities: The job requires PHP experience as well as expertise with Laravel or any other framework.
This Developer is expected to have strong technical skills, to work closely with the other team members in

JOB PROFILE The Technical Lead would be involved in working on a new upcoming tech-based development product. He/she would be working closely with our web developers and coders. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: • Experience building and managing Laravel based server applications.  Backend stack comprising of PHP, Laravel and MySQL database. • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. • Integration of user-facing elements with server side logic. • Constructing reusable code and libraries. • Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability. • Implementation of security protocols. • Understanding of front-end technologies especially Angular 1.2 and greater. • Understanding accessibility and security compliance. • Experience with user authentication and authorization. Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes. • Data migration, transformation, and scripting. • Setup and administration of backups. • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes. • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
