Job Role and Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Min 6 years of development experience in Spring Boot & Microservices architecture
• Working experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL, Spring Data JPA, AWS, Spring Cloud, Maven, GitHub, Swagger, Eureka, Zuul etc.
• Strong understanding of API Security for Microservices (Spring Security, OAuth 2.0, JWT)
• Strong understanding of web development cycle and programming techniques and tools
• Ability to work independently or with group

• Strong understanding of modern development methodologies and best industry standards
• Experience working with APIs, RESTful APIs & Microservices
• Experience building highly scalable applications using Redis, Kafka, Akka, gRPC
• Mentor, Train 3-4 engineers 
• AWS knowledge is a plus
• Strong knowledge on SQL and NoSQL Databases
• Should have worked on developing large scale products and services
• Knowledge on Agile processes is a must
• Able to work with multiple distributed teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using best practices and modern frameworks.

• Integrate and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.

• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices architecture to support scalable and robust applications.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker to automate deployment processes.

• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance, defect triaging, and reliability issues, providing timely support and resolution.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and AWS services to continuously improve our technology stack.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5-7 years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.

• Experience with Spring Boot and other Java frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Take on complex problems that span multiple components and teams.

• Independently own one or more multiple modules, which include: requirement analysis, design, development, maintenance & support

• Write extensive, efficient code to address complex modules that handle the interaction between multiple components.

• Rapidly iterate to add new functionalities and solves complex problems with simple and intuitive solutions

• Produce architecture with clean interfaces, that are efficient and scalable

• Participate and contribute to architectural discussions

• Solve production issues. Investigate and provide solutions to minimize the business impact due to the outage

• Continuously improve performance metrics of modules you own.

• Collaborate effectively across teams to solve problems, execute and deliver results

Requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science

• Software engineering and product delivery experience, with a strong background in algorithms

• Experience in architecting & building real-time, large-scale e-commerce applications

• Experience with high-performance websites catering to millions of daily traffic is a plus

• Excellent command over Data Structures and Algorithms

• Experience with web technologies, Go/Java/Python

• Language: GO or Python

• Strong expertise in DS and Algo

• Strong leadership skills - have experience mentoring, building products from scratch or incumbent in design and architecture.

• Have worked in the scaling of the system right from scratch.

• Someone worked in small user base to a large user base and wrote optimized code

The Observability team is in charge of developing solutions that focus on application developers and engineers that run infrastructure and services supporting these applications. Elasticsearch is an efficient datastore for logs, metrics, and application traces, supporting the three pillars of observability. The Observability team builds and maintains solutions that make getting insights from this data turnkey and efficient, such as our https://www.elastic.co/solutions/apm">APM, https://www.elastic.co/solutions/metrics">Infrastructure Monitoring, and https://www.elastic.co/uptime-monitoring">Synthetics solutions. When developing these solutions, we think about the problem end-to-end: how do we automatically collect data from common data sources, how do we store it efficiently in Elasticsearch, how do we present this information to the user, what actions do we take on the insights from the data? You will be working on Observability Integrations to collect logs and metrics from all the systems that matter to our users, using the current and next generation of data shippers: Beats and the new Elastic Agent.

Job Location : Bangalore, India

• Work with product management to define the requirements for new https://github.com/elastic/integrations">integrations: data collection strategies, storage optimization, alerting and visualization options, refining requirements, translating requirements to stories and epics, and performing detailed scoping of features
• Develop, maintain and evolve https://github.com/elastic/integrations">integrations for multiple services using the Elastic Stack and https://github.com/elastic/elastic-package">specific tooling. For some projects, contributions to the https://github.com/elastic/beats">beats platform will be needed (Go).
• Work with our support team to help customers troubleshoot and solve their issues in production environments, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Interact with the community and help them use our products.
• Collaborate with other engineering, QA and documentation teams to execute on product deliverables.

• Experience operating or developing monitoring products, such as Elastic (ELK, Elastic Observability),  Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, New Relic, etc.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, C++,  we use Go) with strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team.
• Experience participating in technical decision-making across different engineering teams.

• Interest in learning new technologies.
• Experience contributing to open source projects.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud services at scale.
• Experience in SRE and / or DevOps roles.
• Experience monitoring or operating container orchestrators (Kubernetes, etc).
