Java Developer

Job Location: Hyderabad, Indore and Ahmedabad.

Role:

We are looking for an experienced AEM Backend Developer to join our digital platforms team. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development skills in Java (primary) and/or Python, along with proven experience in designing and building scalable, maintainable Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions. This role will focus on implementing backend logic, custom workflows, integrations, and supporting content management features.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain AEM-based backend solutions, components, and templates.

· Develop custom AEM Sling models, servlets, services, and OSGi components.

· Build and integrate RESTful services and APIs to support frontend and third-party systems.

· Work closely with frontend developers and AEM content authors to support dynamic content delivery.

· Develop automation scripts using Java/Python for data handling, deployment, and reporting needs.

· Implement AEM workflows, user permissions, and version control for content.

· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in AEM environments.

· Optimize AEM performance, scalability, and security configurations.

What You’ll Bring:

Mandatory Skills

· 3+ years of experience in AEM backend development.

· Strong hands-on experience with Java, OSGi, Sling, and JCR.

· Experience with Python for backend scripting, automation, or integration tasks.

· Knowledge of AEM architecture including dispatcher, replication agents, and workflows.

· Experience working with AEM APIs, servlets, event handlers, schedulers, and custom components.

· Understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML data handling.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

- A professional degree in Computer Science from a reputable institution, backed by a consistent academic record.

- A knack for problem-solving, data structures, and algorithms.

- Proficiency in ElasticSearch.

- 3+ years of hands-on development experience, primarily in building products for large enterprises.

- Exceptional communication skills.

- Mastery in Java programming; familiarity with Python is a plus.- Experience with Spring Boot.

- Practical knowledge of one or more cloud-based technologies (e.g., ElasticSearch, Storm, Hazelcast, MongoDB, Ceph, Kafka) is highly desirable.

- Expertise in building concurrent and/or parallelized, highly performant scalable applications.

- A track record of identifying and addressing complex issues in scalable deployments.

- Exposure to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) is an added advantage.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Dive deep into technical aspects (Analysis, Design & Implementation) as required.

- Take complete ownership of features within the product.

- Engage in debates and detailed discussions about functional and non-functional requirements with our Product Management team.

- Collaborate with the team to design solutions, seeking stakeholder input before implementation.

- Create essential artifacts such as functional specifications and detailed designs for your assigned features.

- Implement intricate features with an unwavering commitment to quality, following the Test- Driven Development (TDD) process.

- Maintain open lines of communication, promptly reporting risks and progress to your supervising manager.

- Share your expertise and mentor team members.

- Provide support by troubleshooting and creating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues, subsequently working on short-term and long-term solutions.

• 8+ years of experience building Web applications, APIs, Service based platforms
• Excellent command on Java/J2EE and/or Spring/Hibernate
• Strong command over REST based services and micro-services
• Good knowledge of databases such as MySQL
• Good knowledge of creating and maintaining Dev ops infrastructure on AWS or similar platforms
• Good knowledge of code repo software such as git and build management tools

• Experience in corporate training with minimum 3.5 years of experience in Technical training
• Exposure into Core Java & Advanced Java
• Candidate should have good Presentation, verbal & written communication Skills.
• Good to have knowledge on FET

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong at problem-solving using Java 8 and above.
• General understanding of SDLC using agile methodologies iterative development.
• Basic skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are desired.
• Hands-on knowledge of using Spring Boot or Quarkus for building Microservices or API driven solutions.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience in using any RDBMS like MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Understanding or exposure to Cloud-Native development using AWS is an added advantage.
