Java Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with 4+years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications.
• Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code following best software development practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development and production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product teams.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain proper documentation for code, processes, and configurations.
• Support deployment and post-deployment monitoring during night shift hours.

Required Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Java 8 or above.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.).
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture, and Web Services.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Experience with build tools like Maven/Gradle.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (JUnit/TestNG).

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS.

Team: We are a team of two co-founders (Saurabh and Suyash), both IIT Delhi alums with over a decade of experience each in leading consumer businesses. We have a total of 15 people team including 4 engineers (currently outsourced)

Customers: Over the last couple of months, we have grown to 5,000+ registered users and aim to reach 10K+ paid users and 1 Mn+ community strength in the next 12 months.

Job Location

We are based out of Bengaluru and work from an office. We encourage working from office, but are completely ok if you would like to work remotely until things return to normal.

Expectations from the role

• You will work closely with the founding team and a small team of engineers, currently outsourced, in a fast-paced environment.
• You will work as a tech lead and will be responsible for architecting the new features as well as improving the existing codebase. You will be expected to have a high degree of ownership and responsibility for deliverables.
• You will wear a product hat as and when required and help in shaping the product.
• You will provide technical mentorship to other engineers in the team and will lead a team of junior engineers.
• You should be able to deal with ambiguity, have strong bias towards action, ability to deep dive whenever required and quickly deliver to unblock the team

Preferred experience and competencies

• You are a software engineer with 4+ years of industry experience.
• Professional experience with at least one web dev framework (ReactJS or Django/Python)
• Professional experience with one or more (SQL or NoSQL) databases.
• A stint in a product company or a startup or any similar faced paced environment is preferable.
• Experience working with cloud infra providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure etc.) is preferable.
• Strong proficiency in REST API

• Should be comfortable working in support with development projects
• Experience working on Spring (MVC, Boot, Batch, Security, Data)
• 4-5 years experience in Java-J2EE Development.
• Individual contributor.
• Extensive technical experience and development expertise in Core Java, J2EE.
• Experience working with and applying Design patterns to solve problems.
• Good in development code in Java/J2EE, new oracle query, procedures, functions, design the page, validate of java/Script
• Should be able to identify, track and mitigate risks to the product.

1. 3+ years of in design development using Angular, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP.
2. In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, Bootstrap, jQuery, REST Services & APIs.
3. Experience with test-driven development and testing frameworks/libraries.
4. Working knowledge of Git version control systems.
5. Must have a notice period of less than 30 days.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 8+ years experience in web application development and architecture.
• ·Extensive experience using open source software libraries
• Strong experience in at least one MVC architecture or application of the pattern
• Solid hands on experience with Java
• Strong experience with SQL ( Oracle, MySQL, Postgres)
• Strong experience in Data Structures & Algorithms
• ·Must have built end to end continuous integration and deployment infrastructure for micro services
• Strong commitment to good engineering discipline and process including code reviews and delivering unit tests in conjunction with feature delivery
• Must possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills are required.
• Self-starter that is results focused with the ability to work independently and in teams.

GOOD TO HAVE:

• Prior experience building modular, common and scalable services
• Experience using chef, puppet or other deployment automation tools
• Experience working within a distributed engineering team including offshore
• Bonus points if you have contributed to an open source project
• Familiarity and experience with agile (scrum) development process

NodeJS Developer:

We at Fabzen Technologies are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced individual to fulfil the role of Node.js developer.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Professional experience on a software development team as a Node.js developer.
• Strong software documentation skills.
• Ability to comprehend and implement detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Able to work well in a team setting.

The candidate must be proficient at:

• Socket programming
• Async await and promises
• Databases such as mongo, MySQL
• Passport JS for Google and Facebook integration
• Working on APIs with authentication and authorization

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the development team to deliver code as required for the applications and their updates.
• Ensure the design and development of the application fulfil our requirements and achieve desired objectives.
• Ensure company standards are followed; Project schedules and issues are effectively managed, and the same is effectively communicated.
• Ensure documentation, knowledge sharing, and training in new software.
• Create technical specifications and test plans.
• Monitor the functioning of the application and provide suggestions and support to maintain the same.

Experience in a game development company or in developing gaming applications would be an added advantage.
