Job Description

We are looking for engineers who are passionate about solving complex problems and building next generation products for a global customer base & scale.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high performance, clean and reusable code.
• On Calls Monitoring the performance of live applications and work on optimising them at the code level
• Clearly understand the requirements, designs and convert them into high quality code.
• Identifying and resolving the bugs and enhancing application performance. Performing unit testing on code
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and design new features
• Staying up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols
• Develop a highly scalable and secure cloud-based system for collecting health data and performing analytics.
• Document software and features for internal and external engineering teams
• Collaborate with other groups (QC/testing, algorithm developers, etc.)

Skills/ Experience

• 3 to 8 years of experience in developing ecommerce B2B/B2C products/platforms.
• Engineering or Equivalent Bachelor’s degree preferable from top engineering colleges.
• Expertise in Data Structure, Algorithms & System Design
• Expertise In Java/JavaEE/Spring/SpringBoot/HTML/CSS/Angular/React/Vue JS
• Expertise In Database RDBMS/NoSQL (Solr/REDIS/MongoDB/RabbitMQ/Kafka etc)
• Good understanding In GCP/AWS/DevOps/SRE/On-Calls.
• Good understanding of AI/ML/Data Science Algorithms.
• Able to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
• Should have excellent communication skills, with an ability to convey ideas clearly & precisely
• Must have leadership skills & a good team player
• Must be pro-active & a self-starter

• Developing and maintaining server-side network components.
• Collaborating with front-end developers on the integration of elements.
• Designing customer-facing UI and back-end services for various business processes.
• Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.
• Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
• Running diagnostic tests, repairing defects, and providing technical support.
• Documenting Node.js processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies.
• Keeping informed of advancements in the field of Node.js development.

• At least two years of experience as a Node.js developer.
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.

Job Role : Backend Engineer / Sr. Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Platform Engineer, you will work closely with engineers/scientists in a small, but fast-growing, team environment while i) applying the state of the art AI technologies in the field of deep learning and computer vision to design and develop the user recommendation platform to help our users to find their best matches and ii) building scalable and reliable backend API services to serve massive volume of client traffic while ensuring best user experience. A successful candidate will have strong technical skills and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

In this Senior Backend Platform Engineer role, you will:

• Design, develop, and operate resilient distributed services that run on ECS or Kubernetes to serve hundreds of millions of users around the world
• Collaborate with various functional teams on expansion of our recommendation systems
• Influence the roadmap and product development of KlearNow App and services
• Recruit, inspire, and develop team members

We're looking for:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 1-5 or 5-10 years minimum industrial working experiences
• Excellent knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, software design and coding
• Strong designing and building distributed backend systems handling high volumes of traffic
• Experience in handling ambiguous business requirements with excellent prioritization, time management abilities, and a focus on execution
• Passion to solve complex problems and make continuous improvements
• Experience in Search and Recommendation Systems preferred
• Excellent knowledge and experience on a backend language, like Java, Scala, Go, Node.js, etc.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in design and development using NoSQL, such as DynamoDB, Cassandra, or RocksDB
• Experience with Aerospike, ElasticSearch, Kafka, and Spark
• Experience with Agile development methodology and CI/CD
• Experience with Docker containers along with Kubernetes or ECS

What you will do?

• Write awesome code
• Your primary focus will be on building our product around our core algorithms. You will collaborate with our Performance Engineering and DevOps teams.
• Identify tactical and long-term product improvements (could be code, script, etc.) so that e6data development is based on frictionless onboarding of customers
• Build our internal Data Platform using e6data
• Adding scalable functionality to the core e6data engine for new features like UDFs, SQL functions, etc

What we are looking for?

• Worked with Java for a minimum of 4 years
• Knowledge of SQL Query planning will also be good to have
• A passion for continuous learning and growth (both at a personal and team level)
• Strong team player
• Experience (or enjoys) working in a startup will be an added advantag

• Extensive experience in developing Java EE application
• Hands-on experience working with Spring, Spring Boot
• In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience working with Java Web Services, RESTful services 
• Experience using Redis, Memcached or any other caching system
• Experience working with message brokers– preferably RabbitMQ
• Experience with infrastructure automation technologies like Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Gradle.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Lead one of the product verticals in the development of technology strategy, planning, hiring and execution of the next iteration of the WeInvest platform.

• Institutionalize a strong software engineering culture and facilitate a rapid, iterative, layered development approach.

• Be hands on with the coding, evaluate design and architecture choices, do in-depth code reviews, and implement standards and practices for software development.

• Inspire the engineering team to build quality, scalable code by pairing with team members periodically.

• Participate in the definition and management of high-quality product roadmaps based on business, product & tech strategy.

• Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Masters /BE/ B.Tech from a reputed institute

• About 6-10 years professional experience in software development.

• Excellent logical and analytical reasoning capabilities combined with strong knowledge of core

computer science concepts like algorithms, data structures, software design patterns, OOP etc.

• Should have experience in all the phases of SDLC

• Must have experience in leading a team. (At least 2-3 people)

• Be an expert in ruby on rails with experience OR from Fintech, Wealth Management OR Investment

• Management Domain with experience in any of the programming languages (Java/Python/Ruby).

• Breadth of experience in multiple technologies, tools, frameworks and processes is a big plus.

• Excellent understanding of core computer science concepts like algorithms, data structure,

Software design patterns, OOP etc. Be able to lead the team in design & architecture discussions,

introduce new tools, concepts & process to the team and guide other members of the team.

• Experience working in an agile team with software engineering practices like automated testing,

test- driven-development, continuous integration etc is a big plus.

• Excellent oral and written communication.
