Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related field is preferred.

• Must have at least 5 to 7 years of experience in PostgreSQL.

• Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts.

• Knowledge & hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Java, and Spring Framework is a must.

• Additional knowledge of JDBC, Apache TomCat Server & relevant open-source technologies is required.

• Must have experience with Bootstrap CSS, jQuery, etc.

• Basic Understanding of the concepts of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database

Connectivity), and RESTful web services.

• Experience in handling external and embedded databases.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintaining the Database, creating efficient queries, and understanding and improving the current database structure.

• Develop new modules, patches & Updates/upgrades for an existing application (developed in house by the client)

• Analyze user requirements to define business objectives.

• Maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency.

• Identify and resolve any technical issues arising.

• Write well-designed, testable code.

• Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.

Requirements

• 6+ yrs of exposure in the art of writing code and solving problems on large scale.
• Should be language agnostic, with extensive and expert programming experience in any one programming language (strong OO skills preferred).
• Deep experience in at least one general programming language. Preferred (Java,Scala, C++)
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures,

algorithms, and software design.

• Worked end to end on 2-3 complex projects
• Worked in startup like environment with high levels of ownership and commitment
• Experience in building highly scalable business applications, which involve implementing

large complex business flows and dealing with huge amount of data.

• Extensive experience on working with distributed technologies like Kafka, MongoDb,

Redis/Aerospike, MySQL, AWS etc

• Experience with multi-threading and concurrency programming
• Ability to switch between the technologies and learn new skills on the go.

You have oodles of experience designing and developing and documenting Enterprise applications using J2EE technologies. You have worked extensively on the new breed of Enterprise applications utilizing cutting edge technologies such as Java, JavaScript, JPA, Hibernate, spring Batch and web services.

• Object oriented skills, including an understanding of common object and web application design patterns.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, architect and develop advanced software solutions in a cross functional Agile team supporting multiple projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with product owners and/or the business on requirements definition, development of functional specifications, and design
• Collaborate on or lead development of technical design and specifications as required
• Code, test and document new applications as well as changes to existing system functionality and ensure successful completion
• Take on leadership roles as needed

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of software development experience using GoLang/Java programming language
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP/Pivotal Cloud Foundry/any private cloud) and containerization is required
• AWS - experience in extensive use of AWS offerings like Redis, Kafka etc.
• Experience with a micro-services architecture is a plus
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other Relational Databases
• Test-driven development mindset and a focus on quality, scalability, and performance
• Strong programming fundamentals and ability to produce high quality code
• Solid understanding of Agile (SCRUM) Development Process required

• Design and Build API/Micro services using Spring boot.
• Experience in Spring Reactive programming.
• Exposure to docker and containerization
• Developing enterprise grade highly scalable java-based application
• Writing test cases using Java testing framework like JUnit, Mockito.
• Proficient understanding of code version tools, such as Git, SVN
• Displaying initiative and an ability to lead others, and develop applications team disciplined manner
• Participating in application solutions including assisting with planning and architectural design, development, resolution of technical issues, and application rationalization.
• Utilizing and applying robust analytic thinking with the ability to identify, debug, and resolve technical issues.
• Achieving significant contributions within a small team of developers to lead teams and deliver solutions within an Agile methodology, whilst ensuring quality, timeliness and team-wide adherence to good architectural practice and guidelines.
• Good Experience in Application Software Design and Development, Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Software Testing and Debugging.
