Java Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Java Backend Developer Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of robust backend systems. This role requires hands-on coding expertise, architectural vision, and the ability to mentor and lead a team of developers in delivering high-performance, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the backend development team in designing and implementing microservices-based architectures using Java (preferably Java 11+).
• Architect and develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related frameworks.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing (JUnit/TestNG), and integration testing.
• Optimize application performance and scalability through profiling and tuning.
• Guide team members in adopting best practices in software engineering, including Agile methodologies.
• Work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Maintain documentation and ensure knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Exposure to security best practices and performance testing tools like JMeter.

Job responsibility The Lead Developer contributes, to create a customer’s solution, in the building phase of the software development lifecycle. The Software Engineer is responsible for performing the detailed design of application and technical architecture components and classes in accordance to the specification provided by the Solution Architect, for coding of SW components, and for the early testing phases (component testing), and system testing support

Hands on experience in Java, Python, scripting
- Design, implement, deploy and support web-based applications and web services using server technologies stacks that include Java, MySQL
- Experience in Java/J2EE using web frameworks Play or Spring boot, REST API Development and ORM (JPA, Hibernate eBean etc.)
- In depth knowledge of Design patterns and Data structures
- Databases - MySQL, Oracle, SQL
- Solid understanding of concepts like Web Services, SOA, REST APIs, Message Queue, Caching, Distributed/Scalable Architecture
- Secure application development best practices, such as OWASP
- Document and maintain all design documents and involve in review process.

- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

• You have an overall software development experience of 4 to 10 years
• 3+ years proficiency in Java and Spring boot
• Familiar with distributed computing and frameworks such as gRPC/ protobuf
• Understands JVM metrics, Garbage collection and performance tuning
• Experience in creating high-level design(HLD) and low-level design(LLD)
• You have a good understanding of relational database, NoSQL technologies, and REST
• Good to have experience in HTML, JavaScript, GraphQL, TypeScript, ReactJS and related toolsets
• Exposure to AWS stack/cloud computing
• Self-motivated developer who takes ownership of work
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computing related discipline

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming or relevant field. Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred. 
• 5-7 years of relevant experience 
• Must be an expert programmer, skilled at computer languages such as HTML, C+++, C#, PHP, Python and Java. 
• Must understand Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, JMS, Mysql, Redis, CouchDb, Micro Services, Docker, Kubernetes 
• Must be able to interpret and follow instructions related to the ultimate functionality of our IT-based product 

• Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS 
• Must be comfortable with technology architecture and how a computer and its software functions.

Essential Requirements:

• 5+ years of Software development experience
• Hands on development experience using Java technology stack with focus on architecture and design.
• Hands-on in Java Programming, J2EE, Spring or SpringBoot, Hibernate, RestAPI, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Oracle Database, PL/SQL
• Experience in application servers with prime focus on Tomcat.
• Experience in messaging systems such as RabbitMQ.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments. Must be hands on with Object Oriented concepts along with passion for design patterns and applicability.
• Relevant experience in Java frameworks like Spring Microservices, Spring-Boot, Hibernate, JPA etc.
• Understanding of developer testing practices and the differences between unit, functional, and system tests,
• Should have working experience in a CI/CD environment where build & test is automated.
• Should have working experience in tools like Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo etc.

• Must have experience with Kafka or similar message queue systems in production
