Position Full-Time: Investment Engineering Associate

Specific Responsibilities

The Investment Engineering Associate’s main responsibilities will include supporting the investment team by building technology-based analytical tools. The Investment Engineering Associate will design and maintain workflows vital to the firm’s investment process - this ranges from creating adhoc analysis to information rich dashboard construction. Typical tasks will include web crawler scripting/collection, web application development, programming (including API integrations), and optimal database/library/query management.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science

• 2+ years of experience • Candidates should have extensive experience with several of the following languages: Python, Ruby, C/C++, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, SQL, PHP, etc.

• The Investment Solutions Associate should be familiar with Office VBA • Characteristics of the Solutions Associate include: effective communication skills, attention to detail, and strong ethical values

Responsibilities

• Write clear quality code for SketchUp plugins using Ruby and JS
• Interact with the software architecture team and convert ideas into workable features
• Interact with UX designers and convert the designs to workable UI
• Interact with REST APIs to fetch and push data
• Detect and troubleshoot software issues at the code level

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Ruby and JavaScript
• Working knowledge of SketchUp 2018 (or higher) is a huge advantage
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• 3+ years of development experience

Requirements

Acquired strong proven professional programming experience.

- Strong command of Algorithms, Data structures, Design patterns, and Product Architectural Design.

- Good understanding of DevOps, Cloud technologies, CI/CD, Serverless and Docker, preferable AWS

- Proven track record and expert in one of the field - DevOps/Frontend/Backend

- Excellent coding and debugging skills in any language with command on any one programming paradigm, preferred Javascript/Python/Go

- Experience with at least one of the Database systems - RDBMS and NoSQL

- Ability to document requirements and specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities
