Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related field is preferred.

• Must have at least 5 to 7 years of experience in PostgreSQL.

• Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts.

• Knowledge & hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Java, and Spring Framework is a must.

• Additional knowledge of JDBC, Apache TomCat Server & relevant open-source technologies is required.

• Must have experience with Bootstrap CSS, jQuery, etc.

• Basic Understanding of the concepts of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database

Connectivity), and RESTful web services.

• Experience in handling external and embedded databases.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintaining the Database, creating efficient queries, and understanding and improving the current database structure.

• Develop new modules, patches & Updates/upgrades for an existing application (developed in house by the client)

• Analyze user requirements to define business objectives.

• Maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency.

• Identify and resolve any technical issues arising.

• Write well-designed, testable code.

• Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.

• Support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies, and presenting for architectural review.

• Proven experience in any high-level programming languages like Java (Preferably)
• Strong knowledge of data structure, algorithms and coding
• Experience with any Messaging technologies like Kafka or Rab-bitMQ, etc.
• Proven experience in database technologies like NoSQL
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Security, Spring boot, and Hibernate framework.
• Working knowledge of developing Restful Micro services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
• Attend team meetings to discuss projects, brainstorm ideas, and put forward solutions to any issues.
• Ability to understand the Platform/domain of the business in detail & Ability to multi-task.
• Good communication and organizational skill

Job responsibility The Lead Developer contributes, to create a customer’s solution, in the building phase of the software development lifecycle. The Software Engineer is responsible for performing the detailed design of application and technical architecture components and classes in accordance to the specification provided by the Solution Architect, for coding of SW components, and for the early testing phases (component testing), and system testing support

Hands on experience in Java, Python, scripting
- Design, implement, deploy and support web-based applications and web services using server technologies stacks that include Java, MySQL
- Experience in Java/J2EE using web frameworks Play or Spring boot, REST API Development and ORM (JPA, Hibernate eBean etc.)
- In depth knowledge of Design patterns and Data structures
- Databases - MySQL, Oracle, SQL
- Solid understanding of concepts like Web Services, SOA, REST APIs, Message Queue, Caching, Distributed/Scalable Architecture
- Secure application development best practices, such as OWASP
- Document and maintain all design documents and involve in review process.
- Experienced problem solving and debugging skills.
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Agile methodology is added advantage
- Knowledge of Cloud Knowledge /Azure

Overview of the Role

• 10+ years of experience in leading teams and delivering product, write unit and integration tests to ensure robustness and reliability of web applications and services.

As a back end engineer you will be responsible for developing and delivering best in class digital neobanking API platform using the latest technologies and solutions. We believe that technology should not be a barrier when it comes to providing the best-in-class banking services to our customers and we echo that when you as an engineer present your designs and thoughts to improve the app constantly to ensure we are leading the innovation in the neobanking domain. Your role will be (but not limited) to

1. Work in most challenging and complex use cases within Banking and Finances sector.
2. Build domain led scalable banking and payments microservices using JAVA + SpringBoot.
3. Work on processing large (and we mean LARGE) amounts of data across the muvin platform.
4. Work in a cross-platform team where you integrate with 3 rd party platforms and APIs along with muvin’s APIs to ensure consistent and smooth user experience.
5. Develop software using latest tools and technologies in an agile led environment.
6. Own and deliver high quality solutions from start to end.
7. Participate in muvin’s feature development and planning.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

1. E/BTech in Computer Science or similar degree.
2. 1-5+ years of relevant work experience.
3. Strong foundations in Java or other high level programming language.
4. Experience working on Spring framework.
5. Experience developing, debugging, and resolving performance problems in complex multi-service systems.
6. Extensive knowledge on OOP and software architecture.
7. Sheer willingness to write performant well designed code adhering to best practices in data structures and algorithms.
8. Ability and urge to write meaningful test cases and documentation.
9. Good aptitude in analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Experience working with relational databases and NOSQL databases.
11. Knowledge or experience working on concurrent and event driven development.
12. Dogged desire to become a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in one of the areas outside coding (automation, scalability, performance, architecture, optimization, algorithms etc.,).
13. Good communication skills.
