Role Overview :

This is not a typical ticket-based engineering role. You will take end-to-end ownership of systems—designing architecture, building scalable solutions, and solving real-world performance challenges.

We operate in an AI-first engineering environment, leveraging advanced tools and automation workflows to build high-performance distributed systems.

Mandatory Skills :

Java/Spring Boot or Node.js, System Design (HLD/LLD), Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ), Low-Latency APIs, PostgreSQL/MongoDB, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, AI-assisted development (Copilot/Cursor/Claude)

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and build scalable backend systems (Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar).
• Architect and implement event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, pub/sub).
• Develop secure and reliable financial systems with strong data integrity.
• Solve scalability and performance challenges in fintech/crypto environments.
• Own features end-to-end: design → development → deployment → monitoring.
• Work with real-time data pipelines (WebSockets, streaming, event sourcing).
• Define service contracts and optimize system architecture.

AI-First Engineering (Must-Have Mindset) :

You will :

• Use tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude in daily development
• Follow spec-driven development using structured instructions
• Review, validate, and ship AI-generated code with strong engineering judgment

Core Requirements :

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot) or Node.js.
• Solid understanding of System Design (HLD/LLD, Distributed Systems).
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, async pipelines).
• Hands-on experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• Strong database knowledge (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Understanding of security, performance optimization, and reliability.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Exposure to React / React Native is a plus.

Good to Have (Differentiators) :

Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – UI, focused on driving UI test automation strategy, framework design, and quality leadership for modern web applications. The role is hands-on and cross-functional, emphasizing scalable, maintainable, and reliable Playwright-based UI automation and a strong culture of quality across the SDLC.

Role Overview

• Acts as a technical leader and mentor for the UI SDET/QA automation team.
• Owns the UI automation vision and framework architecture, primarily using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Partners closely with Product, Engineering, UX, and DevOps to ensure high-quality frontend delivery.
• Champions continuous improvement, engineering excellence, and rapid feedback.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Strategy

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of UI automation frameworks.
• Enforce best practices such as Page Object Model (POM), data-driven testing, and atomic test design.
• Reduce flakiness, improve execution speed, and ensure meaningful assertions.

• Own and execute comprehensive UI test plans aligned with BDD practices.
• Establish and maintain robust regression testing.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement for UI defects.
• Incorporate feedback from test outcomes and production issues to improve coverage.

• Promote a TDD mindset and shared ownership of test automation among engineers.

Preferred & Highly Desirable Experience

Preferred

• 5+ years of UI SDET/QA/software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven success delivering scalable and reliable UI automation systems.
• Experience mentoring engineers in agile, cross-functional teams.

Highly Desirable

• Testing non-deterministic systems, including AI/ML or GenAI-driven UIs.
• Using AI to accelerate testing and SDLC processes.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes for test environments.
• Understanding of the Test Pyramid and balancing UI, integration, and unit tests.
• Experience in distributed or multidisciplinary teams.

We are looking for a solid firmware testing professional who can intuitively develop test plans and test tools as needed.

This individual will be accountable for driving day-to-day execution and must be able to understand the existing system and its implementation, then architect test strategy and tools to ensure solid deliverables for external customers.

Design and drive integration and test effort Work with system/software/hardware engineers to understand system requirements and limitations to see through what needs to be tested. Prioritize test effort and development as our deliverable plans may be adjusted Proactively learn our system design and implementation to drive test effort along with each milestone.

Required Skills:

Proven experience in test-in-loop development (SIL, HIL).

Proficiency with VISA instrument drivers.

Hands-on experience with lab equipment, especially Mixed Domain Oscilloscopes (MDO).

Strong expertise in embedded systems, including hardware and software components.

Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation of test processes.

Familiarity with Jenkins or other CI/CD frameworks (Azure preferred).

Experience with source control systems, particularly GIT.

General experience in writing and debugging tests.

Background in networking is preferred.

Exposure to DevOps practices and SQL is an advantage.
