Remuneration and terms:-
1. Company provides joining letter and agreement with terms here at time of joining of Candidate.

Role/ Responsibilities:
• Assist in design and development of PayPal iOS application
• Influencing peers, juniors and seniors both within the organization and across PayPal.
• Native iOS app development and converting ideas, designs and requirements to concrete stable production builds
• Coordinate and collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to understand problems, come up with creative solutions, and help with tracking and delivering within the release plan • Understand and implement iOS specific design patterns
• Collaborate with Engineering and QA to resolve bugs

Desired Skills and Experience:
• At least 5 years of native ioS development experience .
• Extremely comfortable with understanding and implementing internet application with REST services at the backend
• Super awesome at iOS fundamentals, including technologies like UIKit, Core Animation, Auto Layout and Cocoa Touch

Excellent Swift and Objective-C coding ability along with strong CS & OS fundamentals
• Familiarity with continuous integration (Jenkins), application monitoring (Crashlytics and fabric.io), mocking tools (Appium and Apiary), build tool development and enhancements, using unit testing and cucumber tests for functional tests.
• Extremely comfortable with understanding and implementing client-side handlers for web services with REST services at the backend

- Experience with Cucumber testing framework desired
• B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science is desired

Summary of role:

As a Developer, you will be working alongside our product team in the conceptualization, design and development of app and frontend components. You will be doing the following on the job

• Write clean, manageable code and maintain proper documentation
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Developing and implementing highly-responsive user interface components using Android material design concepts
• Writing application interface codes using Java, Android
• Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.

Key Responsibilities of this Role:

• At least three years of production level experience in working with native Android using Kotlin, Java
• Bachelors in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience) is preferred
• Understanding of key design principles.
• At least one Android app developed by you must be live
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
• In-depth knowledge and passion for Java, Kotlin, CSS, HTML, OOPs and front-end languages
• If you have worked on an app (on Android) used by 100K+ users, you will be preferred.

This person MUST have:
- B.E Computer Science or equivalent.

What will I do? You will work as an Senior Software Engineer for the Android app in the Consumer team. The consumer mobile apps are the primary way that our customers regularly interact with Shuttl for finding routes and booking their rides. You will report into the Team Lead for the Consumer team. Your team mates will be other Android, iOS and backend engineers. As a senior software engineer at Shuttl you are responsible for developing new features and maintaining existing ones, contributing to architecture and code design as well as coaching and training of junior software engineers. How do we work? Our engineering process is a five step process which consists of phases for planning, developing, testing & profiling, releasing and monitoring. The planning phase consists of documenting of the feature/task to be done followed by various discussions. These discussions cover product, delivery estimates, release plan, monitoring plan, test plans, architecture, code design, technology choices and best practice adoption. The development and testing phase coexist and involve writing code, unit tests, performance tests, profiling, stress testing, code reviews and QA testing. This phase is punctuated with daily scrums and standups. The release phase is largely about managing and communicating the release to customers and internal stakeholders and activating features. This phase culminates with a retrospective. What skills should I have? For this role we expect you to have 3-5 years of experience in Android application development primarily using Java. You should have strong knowledge of Android SDK & Runtime Environments, Location services, Google Maps and other Android support libraries. You should be well acquainted with Android Studio and various profilers. Working knowledge of Reactive programming and Kotlin is huge plus. You should be knowledgeable about programming languages, operating systems, networks, databases and SQL, algorithms, architecture, code design and design patterns.
