Job Description:

SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Job Responsibilities:

• Test Automation: • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using test automation frameworks. • Design and implement testing tools and frameworks to support automated testing.

• Software Development: • Participate in the design and development of software components to improve testability. • Write code actively, contribute to the development of tools, and work closely with developers to debunk complex issues.

• Quality Assurance: • Collaborate with the development team to understand software features and technical implementations. • Develop quality assurance standards and ensure adherence to the best testing practices.

• Integration Testing: • Conduct integration and functional testing to ensure that components work as expected individually and when combined.

• Performance and Scalability Testing: • Perform performance and scalability testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance. • Test Planning and Execution: • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. • Execute manual and/or automated tests and analyze results to ensure product quality.

• Bug Tracking and Resolution: • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools. • Verify fixes and work closely with developers to resolve issues. • Continuous Improvement: • Stay updated on emerging tools and technologies relevant to the SDET role. • Constantly look for ways to improve testing processes and frameworks.

Skills and Qualifications: • Strong programming skills, particularly in languages such as COBOL, JCL, Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. • Strong experience in Mainframe environments. • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc. • Good understanding of web technologies and databases is often beneficial. • Strong communication skills for interfacing with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications • 5+ years of experience as a software developer, QA Engineer, or SDET. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java or Selenium. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mainframe environments. • 4+ years designing, implementing, and running test cases. • 4+ years working with test processes, methodologies, tools, and technology. • 4+ years performing functional and UI testing, quality reporting. • 3+ years of technical QA management experience leading on and offshore resources. • Passion around driving best practices in the testing space. • Thorough understanding of Functional, Stress, Performance, various forms of regression testing and mobile testing. • Knowledge of software engineering practices and agile approaches. • Experience building or improving test automation frameworks. • Proficiency CICD integration and pipeline development in Jenkins, Spinnaker or other similar tools. • Proficiency in UI automation (Serenity/Selenium, Robot, Watir). • Experience in Gherkin (BDD /TDD). • Ability to quickly tackle and diagnose issues within the quality assurance environment and communicate that knowledge to a varied audience of technical and non-technical partners. • Strong desire for establishing and improving product quality. • Willingness to take challenges head on while being part of a team. • Ability to work under tight deadlines and within a team environment. • Experience in test automation using UFT and Selenium. • UFT/Selenium experience in building object repositories, standard & custom checkpoints, parameterization, reusable functions, recovery scenarios, descriptive programming and API testing. • Knowledge of VBScript, C#, Java, HTML, and SQL. • Experience using GIT or other Version Control Systems. • Experience developing, supporting, and/or testing web applications. • Understanding of the need for testing of security requirements. • Ability to understand API – JSON and XML formats with experience using API testing tools like Postman, Swagger or SoapUI. • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills. • Solid understanding of Release Cycle and QA /testing methodologies • ISTQB certification is a plus.

Notice period - 0 to 15days only

You will own the end to end implementation and operation of AI powered outbound campaigns for our clients. That means taking a client brief, understanding their target market, building the systems that research and engage prospects, and making sure those systems run reliably without hand holding.

This is not a "connect two Zapier steps and call it automation" kind of role. You will be designing multi step workflows where AI agents research companies, enrich data through APIs, personalize messaging intelligently, and deliver outputs into client tools. Each campaign is a custom system with moving parts that need to work together cleanly.

What your weeks will look like:

You will onboard new clients, understand their ICP and outreach goals, then build and deploy the technical infrastructure to execute those campaigns. You will monitor live campaigns, troubleshoot when something breaks, and optimize for better results over time. You will hop on video calls with clients when needed, but the bulk of your time is building and maintaining systems that work.

Specifically, you will:

Build and manage complex n8n workflows that pull data from multiple sources, enrich it through APIs and AI, and deliver personalized outputs. Design Airtable bases that structure client data, automate processing, and integrate with external tools. Set up and manage email infrastructure: domains, deliverability, sending sequences. Use AI tools (Claude, GPT) to build research and personalization layers into client workflows. Handle client onboarding, ongoing communication, and technical troubleshooting. Own your campaigns. When something breaks at 2 PM on a Tuesday, you fix it. When a client asks why response rates dropped, you investigate and have an answer.

Who This Is For

You are someone who figures things out. You read documentation, test until it works, and do not give up when the first approach fails. You have strong technical intuition even if you are not a traditional developer. You understand how APIs work, how data flows between systems, and how to debug when something is not behaving as expected.

You follow AI developments closely. Not casually. You know the practical performance difference between Claude Opus 4.6 & GPT 5.4 🙃, you have opinions on which tools are overhyped, and you have probably built something with AI that you are proud of, even if it was just for yourself.

You are hungry. Not in a cliché motivational poster way. You genuinely want to get better at what you do, you take ownership of your work, and you do not need someone checking in on you every few hours to make sure you are making progress.

Core skills (non negotiable):

• n8n: You have built workflows and understand how nodes, data flow, and error handling work.
• AI tools: Regular, meaningful use of Claude or ChatGPT. You know how to prompt effectively and understand the limitations.
• Technical aptitude: You pick up new tools fast and figure things out from documentation, not tutorials.
• English proficiency: Written and spoken. You will be communicating with international clients.

Great to have (you can learn these on the job):

Experience with cold email and outbound systems (Smartlead, Instantly, or similar). Understanding of email deliverability (SPF, DKIM, domain setup). API integration and webhook experience. Data enrichment workflows using tools like Apollo, web scraping, or similar.

Work Setup

Fully remote. Work from anywhere. 5 day week. You manage your own schedule as long as the work gets done and you are available for client calls when needed.

Our front-end applications are written in React with TypeScript using Gatsby and Next.js. For our REST and GraphQL APIs we use TypeScript and NodeJS, with PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch behind the scenes.

About the Role

• Develop scalable web applications for award-winning consumer-facing financial tools
• Develop quick internal admin tools for analysts to create and maintain critical rule sets around consumer financial data
• Integrate new external APIs from vendors or other teams into platform
• Work with UX and design team to transform wireframes into living products
• Build new REST and/or GraphQL endpoints for representing our data to consumer applications

About You

• Experience with Node.js and a UI framework (React a plus)
• Experience with unit, integration and end to end testing tools and practices
• Experience with documenting, creating, and consuming REST APIs (GraphQL a plus)
• Keen eye for detail when translating design and requirements into working code
• Proficiency with security requirements, authentication and authorization layers (OAuth2, Google Sign-in)
• Aware of front-end performance implications and best practices
• Familiarity working in the cloud, especially as it pertains to the front end: (Amazon S3 or Azure Blob, Cloudfront, Cloudflare, Fastly, etc.)
• Familiarity with tag and event tracking libraries (e.g. Segment, Google Analytics)

Qualification
