Fullstack Developer

We are looking for a passionate tech lead with a diverse backend technology background to lead large engineering teams at Simform.

You should have a good understanding of software architecture design, backend technologies, cloud platforms and have experience leading a team of developers.

• Helping project teams with solutions architecture, troubleshooting, and technical implementation assistance. 
• Occasionally working as a software developer if the situation demands
• Use your expertise in different tech-stack/languages, tech architecture etc., to drive improvements in accuracy, quality, the efficiency of projects. 
• Oversee project teams' work and provide assistance for any troubleshooting or technical implementation guidance. 
• Delivering training sessions and providing technical guidance to the developers, deep technical troubleshooting, etc.
• Ensure standards and best practices are implemented and practiced by large cross-technical teams.

• Technical background with over 7 years dabbling into multiple technologies and grasping crux of them.
• Significant hands-on experience with at least 2 tech stack (MEAN/MERN, Php/laravel, Python, RoR )  
• Experience in building reliable, robust, secure and high-performance in-production software systems with a large user base. 
• Strong understanding of Cloud (Preferably AWS) and conceptual understanding of  CI/CD, DevOps. 
• Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
• Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
• Exposure and expertise in design patterns and software design patterns in general

Role and Responsibilities

•  Working with front-end developers and providing server-side algorithms of user-facing web application elements.
• Coding and creating functional web applications, optimizing code for increasing response time and efficiency.
• Analyzing the goals and requirements, efficiently handling bugs and errors, and finding effective solutions for the same.
•  Interacting with the database for storing data and ensuring that every user has access to what they search.
•  Accomplishing the projects and goals within deadline.
• Managing APIs that are executed across the devices.
•  Involving in defining the architecture of the system.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of PHP and related frameworks like Laravel, Codeigniter, Yii. Competent in Ruby, Python, nodeJs, and Java will be an added advantage.
• Good Communication, Analytical, Logical, and Leadership skills.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies, such as Angular, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be preferred.
• Capable of managing a hosting environment along with database administration such as MySQL, Oracle.
• Excellent knowledge of APIs (REST, SOAP) and Web services.
• Ability to scale applications to handle the load changes.
• Knowledge of accessibility and security compliance.
• Good to have experience in version control, such as GIT.

Responsibilities:

• Drive complex projects autonomously, from technical design to launch.
• Tackle complex architecture challenges, apply architectural standards and start using them on new projects.
• Designing, implementing, testing and deploying various software products.

• Managing and maintaining existing systems in line with our product custodianship strategy.

• Perform code reviews & documentation as well as take on complex bug fixes, especially on high-risk problems.

• Work in collaboration with team members and adhere to timelines and milestones.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years' experience in Reactjs and Nodejs (MERN STACK).
• Excellent JavaScript/Typescript skills.
  
• Experience in No SQL Database.
• Strong foundation of HTML5 CSS and JavaScript.
• Applies security and reliability principles when designing systems.
• Understand the principles of Redux/Mobx and make strong architectural recommendations.
• Stay abreast of the latest React and JS libraries and can offer well formed opinions when selecting a tech stack.
• Bring your knowledge of design patterns in development (eg SOLID) and platform architecture (Microservices, Event Driven, DDD).
• Experience with test automation at all levels of the test pyramid and beyond, and experience working in a Continuous Deployment model.
• GraphQL & AWS Experience a bonus.
• Considers the customer impact when making technical decisions.
• Really good communicator both with the stakeholders and the team.
• A real appetite for learning and growing, both as a developer and teammate.
• Great at scripting, knowledge of linux/unix systems commands, shell scripting / python.
• Agile development, experience with scrum or kanban.
• Ideally have worked in fast-growing startups, so you understand the need and ability to be able to move fast.
