You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. Java developer roles and responsibilities include managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. Java developer responsibilities include designing, developing and delivering high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

·      Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

·      Write well designed, testable, efficient code

·      Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications

·      Prepare and produce releases of software components

·      Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

Requirements

·      BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

·      Proven hands-on Software Development experience

·      Proven working experience in Java development

·      Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms

·      Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

·      Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)

·      Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)

·      Experience in the Spring Framework

·      Experience as a Sun Certified Java Developer

·      Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)

·      Experience with test-driven development

 Job Description:

We are looking for a self-starter/ Full Stack Developer who can work well with minimal guidance and in a fluid environment. Proficient at programming and interacting with APIs and good knowledge of RESTful design. Customer-focused reacts well to changes, works with teams, and is able to multitask. A natural communicator who can articulate and express thoughts and explain technical concepts in clear, plain English (both written and verbal)

Key Responsibilities: 

Hands-on experience in different technologies and languages such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ReactJS, NodeJS, MongoDB, Express JS, MySQL to develop applications. Full Stack Developers approach software holistically since you cater to both user experience and functionality. Participating in the design and creation of scalable software. Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end. Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications

• Strong experience using a client-side MVC framework such as NodeJS, React JS, NextJS, Redux.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive, design, build and deliver end-to-end solutions using Agile and User Centered Design processes.
• Build a distributed system based on SOLID design principles, concurrency, and distributed data.
• Demonstrate experience  writing enterprise software applications for high frequency and low latency environments.
• Hit the ground running with a typical Java ecosystem (Spring & its sub-projects, dependency injection, maven, hibernate, etc.)
• Maintain quality, modularity and ensure responsiveness of applications.
• Be able to pick up new technologies along their whole development stack including non-java ecosystems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive experience and deep understanding in Java 8, including multithreading, data-structures and algorithms.
• Strong understanding of distributed architecture concepts, Design patterns, SOLID principles, 

SOA, Microservices, Cloud hosting solutions (preferably AWS).

• Good experience in developing REST API and Json, in Java backend applications.
• Hands on experience with SQL, NoSQL concepts.
• Test driven development, including unit test cases using any test framework (JUnit, spring-test, MockMvc), and end-to end testing.
• Excellence in writing and maintaining clear end-user documentation including API specifications, patterns, best practices, and data definitions, including Swagger.
• Good knowledge of GIT.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and build automation tools like Jenkins pipelines for Continuous Integration (CI)/ Continuous Delivery (CD), maven/Gradle
• Experience with Agile software development (e.g., SCRUM or KANBAN) and/ or User Centered design process.
• Experience in working with Angular 6+/ReactJS 16+ & Redux, JSP, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and Javascript will be a plus.

At Pratishthan we are looking for enthusiastic software engineers with up to 5 years of work experience with great programming and problem-solving skills. You should be open to working in any of the tech stacks, as technology is just a means to deliver the solution to customer problems. Preferred technologies are Java, spring boot, Node JS or C++.  However, specific tech stack experience is not a prerequisite if the candidate has relevant experience and is open to learning.

Requirements:

• Candidates should be hands-on developers with a strong command of data structures, algorithms, programming fundamentals and DBMS concepts.
• We look for people who have good conceptual clarity and can recognize patterns and come up with multiple approaches to solve problems.
• Candidates should have exposure to designing components as part of applications, independently. 
• Good scores in any of the online coding platforms like LeetCode, CodeChef, HackerRank etc. would be preferred. (Please specify the scores in the resume.)
• Experience in designing and developing microservices, event- driven systems, cloud platforms, data analytics etc would be added advantage.
