About the Role

Orenda is looking for a UI Engineer to build fast, polished, and responsive web interfaces. You will transform designs into clean, production-ready front-end code and work closely with our Design and Product teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

What You'll Do

• Build responsive, accessible, and high-quality web interfaces using React, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop and maintain consistent user interfaces using Tailwind CSS and adhere to the established design system.
• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, reusable, and production-ready components.
• Optimize applications for performance while ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Collaborate closely with Designers and Backend Engineers to deliver features from concept to deployment.

What We're Looking For

• Solid experience with React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS.
• Good understanding of responsive design principles and modern web development fundamentals.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to build clean, well-structured, and intuitive user interfaces.
• Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad and collaborate effectively within a team.

Nice to Have

• Experience in mobile application development using at least one of the following frameworks:
• Kotlin (Android)
• React Native
• Ionic

1. We are looking for Javascript wizards who can work with designers, product managers to collaboratively own the front-end, building responsive and elegant mobile+desktop web UIs at Mobishaala. Bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Expertise level knowledge of  HTML5 : Comprehensive knowledge of tags, HTML API (Geo, Storage, More APIs), Canvas APIs, META Tags and Semantic markup 
• Expertise level knowledge of CSS3 : CSS Object Model, Selectors & Hierarchy, Layouts, Responsive Designs, Build Tools, SASS / SCSS & Flexbox
• Expertise level knowledge of ES6: Object-Oriented programming principles,  DOM Selectors, Event Handlers, Jquery - Functions, Callbacks, Promises, Debugging tools & approach
• Experience in creating build scripts from scratch using Webpack & Gulp with relevant plugins to improve DevOps
• Ability to independently create technical design of an Epic utilising the knowledge of JavaScript design patterns and CSS best practices
• Experience in reviewing the technical design and implementation of other frontend team members
• Ability to Suggest better alternatives to existing solutions for improving the solution quality (both functional and non-functional problems) 
• Ability to coach and line-manage senior frontend engineers, to help them grow their career
• Experience in Typescript and contemporary FE development frameworks like ReactJS, Angular & VueJS is preferred

• Overall 4 years development experience with 2+ years of professional experience working with React Native
• An understanding of React Native best practices and a commitment to following them.
• Experience with popular React Native workflows such as Redux and ESLint, Jest, Enzyme.
• Experience with Agile development, scrum.

• Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Identifying web-based user interactions.
• Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.
• Writing application interface codes using JavaScript following react.js workflows.
• Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes.
• Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
• Monitoring and improving front-end performance.
• Documenting application changes and developing updates

Reporting to the founder, you will be expected to develop, deploy and oversee the execution of the tech strategy, product road-map and operations to ensure alignment with our businesses goals as we grow and scale. You will play a key part in the organisation's success, taking the current MVP and developing it further to move the company through to early stage funding and into profit.

Quesst's is built using React.js [Frontend], Node.js [Backend], PostgreSQL [DB], Amazon EC2 [Application Hosting], Amazon S3 [Media Storage Service], and Amazon SES [Email Sending Service]. You will be responsible for implementing full-stack features and collaborate with other team members to plan each sprint. You’ll be working across the entire system architecture and be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining restful APIs, micro-services and databases.
