About the Role

We're looking for a talented Frontend Developer with React and Expo experience to join our product team. You'll own the frontend across web and mobile, crafting intuitive interfaces and seamless user experiences using a shared React codebase.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive web interfaces using React.js
• Develop cross-platform mobile experiences using React Native with Expo
• Translate Figma/design mockups into pixel-perfect, accessible UI components
• Manage application state using Redux, Zustand, or Context API
• Integrate REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints
• Ensure consistent performance and UX across browsers, iOS, and Android
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and design discussions

Required Skills

• 6–12 years of frontend development experience
• Strong proficiency in React.js and React Native
• Hands-on experience with Expo (managed or bare workflow)
• Solid command of JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience with CSS-in-JS, Tailwind CSS, or styled-components
• Familiarity with React Navigation or Expo Router
• Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles
• Experience consuming REST APIs

Nice to Have

• Experience with Next.js for web
• Knowledge of EAS Build and OTA updates
• Familiarity with animation libraries (Reanimated, Framer Motion)

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the development of our platform’s front end.
• Work with the product and design teams along with the founders to build new product features from start to finish: through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance.
• Work closely with founders and internal/external stakeholders to build products, tools, and services from scratch and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• You'll leverage your frontend knowledge to help improve performance and reliability, and polish existing features.
• Share your technical expertise to help the team make thoughtful and scalable design decisions and identify performance bottlenecks to troubleshoot quickly.
• Manage product development priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Ensure high-performant and responsive web applications and websites.

Skills & Qualities we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• 2-4 years of experience as a frontend developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers) at a fast-paced, preferably early / growth stage start-up.
• You're familiar with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and a React-like UI framework.
• Knowledge of codebases and version control systems (Git).
• You have experience debugging performance issues with UI in modern browsers across multiple platforms.
• Well-versed with SQL database design & RDBMS concepts.
• Strong arithmetic reasoning, logical and analytical thinking skills.
• Strong knowledge of code quality maintenance and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement engineering strategies that support business objectives. Understand broader organization goals and constantly prioritise your own work.
• Technical Excellence: Understand the onground problems, explore and design various possible solutions to conclude and implement scalable, extensible and secure software systems. Implement and learn best practices in technical architecture, coding standards, and software testing to ensure product delivery with highest speed AND quality.
• Project and Program Management: Setting up aggressive as well as realistic timelines with all the stakeholders, ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects as per the defined timelines with best quality standards ensuring budget constraints are met. Use agile methodologies to manage the development process and resolve bottlenecks.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with Product Managers, Design, Business, and Operations teams to define project requirements and deliverables. Ensure the smooth integration of engineering efforts across the organization.
• Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate technical risks and roadblocks. Proactively identify areas of technical debt and drive initiatives to reduce it.

• Experience with React, Redux and React Native.

Requirements:

>5+ years of IT experience in the development of scalable consumer-facing digital solutions (consumer websites, web applications, mobile sites etc) in HTML, CSS3 and JavaScript framework is required

>Strong understanding of semantic HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3.
>Experience in frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation and CSS preprocessors like SASS and LESS.
>Strong knowledge of JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp, and Webpack
>Experience in javaScript with a good grasp of advanced JavaScript-based Vue JS, React JS and Angular JS
>Experience with implementing SVG animations and expertise in GreenSock(GSAP) will be an add on qualification.
>Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
