Role Overview

As a Senior Software Crafter at Incubyte, you are a highly competent engineer who leads complex projects and drives strong technical outcomes at a project or team level. The role focuses on elevating technical quality, guiding teams through high-impact challenges, and strengthening engineering maturity through mentorship and candid feedback. 

At this level, you play a key role in resolving critical incidents, leading large improvement initiatives, and contributing to domain or guild efforts that create positive, lasting change across Incubyte.

From refining requirements to reviewing and refactoring code, you’ll pair with AI to explore solutions faster, catch issues earlier, and raise the quality bar continuously. Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects of high complexity
• Drive technical quality across projects using sound engineering judgment
• Mentor, sponsor, and provide candid, trend-based feedback to engineers

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• ⁠6+ years of hands-on software development experience, particularly in ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• A curious and constant learning mindset that looks at tech to an end to solve problems.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• BE/BTech in Computer Science or related field. 
• Minimum 3+ years of UI/Frontend development and a strong understanding of building complex layouts using JavaScript, CSS and HTML.

KEY SKILLS

• Strong computer system analysis and design skills in current methodologies and patterns including vanilla JavaScript, some experience with ReactJS, Redux, React Native, Webpack, and Typescript or similar library/tools.
• Obsessed with WPO (Web Performance Optimization) and web/mobile performance analysis.
• Experienced with web standards and protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and socket APIs in general.
• Familiar with web security, SEO, accessibility and internationalization.

• Develop reusable, maintainable cross-platform HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end web application components while adhering to web and team standards.
• Write unit tests to provide sufficient testing coverage for each developed component.
• Constantly review and improve frontend performance of the web application.
• Work with creative and business partners to understand, build and adjust web application functionality and visual presentation to support business goals.
• Work with server-side, infrastructure, and 3rd party technology partners to build, integrate and deploy web application functionality and visual presentation to support business goals.
• Work with project technical lead and/or FE architect to create technical designs and implementation plans.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail throughout the development process.
• Remain curious and current with new developments in the FE web development industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated 3-5 years of practical front-end web development experience.
• Expertise in writing and testing valid, web standards-based HTML, CSS, JS.
• Fluent in fundamentals of computer science such as:
• Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Coding Patterns.
• Deep understanding and experience with the following standards and technologies is essential:
• DOM, JSON, AJAX, HTML5 Video, WCAG 2.0 AA, Git.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Sample portfolio (code or public-facing web build) is a plus.
• Experience working for high-end brands or another environment with very high standards for the presentation layer is a plus; Ecommerce experience is a plus

• In-depth knowledge in Core Python with Django building end to endapplications development.
• Experience in Web technologies-HTML, CSS, Javascript.

• Database - SQL Server/Postgres/ NoSQL database.
  
  
• Good understanding of Algorithms, data structures.
• Knowledge in ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
  
  
• Experience in integrating multiple data sources and databases into onesystem.
  
  
• Knowledge in REST / SOAP API
• Knowledge in version control tools like Git
• Experience with various cloud technologies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of experience in React, Redux 
• Experience with Build systems e.g. Webpack/Grunt/Gulp 
• In-depth knowledge of HTML/XHTML/HTML5 
• Experience with Testing frameworks e.g. Karma/Jasmine/Protractor/Cucumber/Mocha/Jest 
• Experience with interface development toolkits: e.g. Less/SASS 
• Experience with web service integration protocols such as REST & GraphQL 
• In-depth knowledge of Javascript e.g. ES5/ES6/Typescript 
• Strong Knowledge of CSS 3 
• Must be a strong team player 
• Have a good understanding of design and user experience principles. 
• Experience in dealing with cross-browser compatibility requirements 
• Understanding of mobile development best practices (e.g. responsive design, graceful degradation, etc.) 
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team and learn from colleagues 
• Open-minded, flexible and willing to adapt to changing situations 
• Good designing & color combination skills 
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
