About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team and build high-quality, scalable products. You’ll design intuitive user interfaces, leverage modern AI coding tools, and mentor junior engineers. Our tech stack includes React, Django, Go, and SQL databases, but we prioritize strong fundamentals and the ability to quickly learn any framework. This is an in-office role, requiring you to work from our office location.

Requirements

Our Software Architects are the strategic thinkers and technical leaders of. They design, validate, and guide the delivery of enterprise-grade systems that balance innovation, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. 

At Sarvika, Software Architects work at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution. They collaborate across engineering, product, and design teams to define architecture blueprints, select technologies, and ensure systems evolve in alignment with customer goals. Architects are hands-on, often prototyping solutions and coaching teams, while also trusted to influence executives on technical direction. Requirements

● Proven track record in architecting and delivering large-scale, distributed software systems. 

● Expertise in modern architectural patterns: microservices, event-driven systems, composable commerce, headless architectures.

Desirable Skills 

● Deep experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks (e.g., ● JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, Java, .NET, Python). 

● Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes). 

● Experience with data platforms, integration patterns, and API-first design (REST, GraphQL, gRPC). 

● Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices. ● Understanding of security standards, compliance (GDPR, SOC2), and enterprise IT constraints.

On any given day you might 

● Define architecture blueprints and technical roadmaps for enterprise projects. ● Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to align architecture with strategic goals. 

● Make key technology selection decisions, balancing innovation with long-term maintainability. 

● Review system designs, ensuring alignment with principles of security, scalability, and performance. 

● Support engineering teams with hands-on prototyping and technical problem solving. ● Facilitate architectural reviews and communicate trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

● Collaborate with designers to ensure UI/UX and architecture integrate seamlessly. ● Influence enterprise customers, helping them modernise platforms and adopt composable, headless, or cloud-native approaches.

You bring 

● 7+ years of software development and architecture experience. 

● Expertise in designing cloud-native, distributed systems. 

● Proven success in leading technical decisions across multi-team programmes. ● Strong cross-functional collaboration and customer-facing skills. 

● Advanced understanding of system integration, security, and performance optimisation. 

● Familiarity with enterprise-scale delivery: migration projects, composable commerce, API ecosystems. 

● Advanced English, able to communicate at both executive and engineering levels. ● (Bonus) Experience contributing to open-source, publishing architectural thought pieces, or speaking at conferences.

Shift: UK Shift

• Work closely with product managers and engineers to design, implement, test and continually improve scalable frontend and backend services.
• Develop products using agile methods and tools.
• Develop commercial grade software that is user friendly and suitable for a global audience.
• Plan, create and execute (manual and automated) tests.
• Be involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle.
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Staying up to date with current technologies and providing insights on cutting edge software approaches, architectures, and vendors.

• Fluency in any one of JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.

What we are looking for:

• Hands-on experience with key development technologies including Java, J2E, Springboot, React, HTML/CSS/Javascript. Others such as Python, Angular would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of databases, integration architectures/patterns and data modelling essential.
• API best practices, application servers, cloud services (especially AWS) and code quality/secure development all essential. Generative AI knowledge is a must.
• Experience of DevOps, CI/CD and source control tools and best practices required.
• Able to work collaboratively to create POCs and provide technical recommendations for solutions to problems with supporting evidence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects with the Ability to balance business priorities with technical requirements and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Be a strong individual contributor in all aspects of software development lifecycle following agile methodologies (Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and deploy phases of development projects) to deliver high quality solutions that meet business requirements.
• Experience in working with multiple application environments, and support business continuity across multiple geographic regions inclusive of Implementing DevOps culture, and use of tools to ensure Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for application deployment and adhering to S&P security requirements for vulnerability remediation.
• Perform reviews and integration testing to assure code quality and security standards are met. 
• Support the user base, assisting with tracking down issues and analyzing feedback to identify product improvements; Gather information and feedback from end users to understand and develop project requirements.
• Understand and commit to the culture of S&P Global: the vision, purpose, and values of the organization. 

• 0 to 3 years of experience (or equivalent understanding of software engineering)
• Familiar with Javascript/Typescript and React.js
• Familiar with one backend language (Node, Go, Java, Python) and one relational database (any SQL)
• Willingness and interest in learning new tech/processes (Next.js, Angular, IaaS, etc.)

Mandatory Skill set:

• Multiple solution stack development experience along with MEAN(Mongo, Express, Angular and Node)

• Python with any web framework

• Micro Services, Performance Engineering, Docker, Kubernetes, AZURE, CI/CD pipeline, , MySQL and Database design

Job Role:

• Responsible for component selection, design standardization, common library building.

• Build services and templates based on published standard (RFC type)Build coding templates and architypes adhering to design standard.

• Understand NFR and define architecture, design and validation for each NFR element.

• Design data model, service contract and document framework.Define and ensure coding standards
