Job Description:

We are looking for an Android Developer passionate about pushing mobile technologies to their limits. This Android app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. Android programming works closely with other app development and technical teams.

Experience:  2 to 3 years

Responsibilities:

• Unit-test code for usability, and general reliability
• Submitting Andriod applications to clients for review and Google Play Store
• Design and Build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Continuously discover, Evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  Ongoing development of existing Android projects
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Working with backend developers for API requirements in the apps
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Developing/customizing Android Applications.

Requirements:

• 2-3years of developing Andriod Applications
• Android mobile application design and development with an in-depth understanding of Android Architecture, Framework, Android SDK, Core Java, Kotlin, and Android debugger.
• Experience with IOS development would be an added advantage
  Skilled at writing Unit Tests.
• Ensure a smooth and robust application at the front end for a seamless experience for the customers
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of hardware communication via Android / NDK build / BLE is a plus
• Deliver across the entire app life cycle - design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores, and support
• Should have knowledge about versioning tools preferably GIT
• Participating in the UX design discussions by providing inputs related to the lasted android and IOS native UX design guidelines
• FireBase / AWS integration
• REST API integration / JSON understanding Familiar with the usage of database utilities outside of android
• GPS Tracking, Bluetooth integration with apps.

Core Skills
• Strong understanding of Flutter. Experience with other frameworks like React Native,
SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose is acceptable.
• Good knowledge of Rendering engines in Flutter, Browser, iOS, Android
• Experience in CMS such as Sanity, AEM
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL and Web Sockets
• Ability to debug and profile Web/Mobile applications with Chrome DevTools or Native
profilers
• Deep understanding of Reactive programming with libraries like MobX, BloC
• Exposure to SOLID Domain Driven Design, principles
• Exposure to Style Guides, Atomic Design, Design Systems
• Strong visual acumen to detect cosmetic defects ensuring
• Exposure to Design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite or Affinity Designer
• Deep knowledge of at least 2 different programming languages from JavaScript, Dart, Ruby,
Python, Go, Rust, Typescript, C#, Kotlin, Java, Haskell, OCaml

Experience
• 8 - 15 years of experience building Front End Applications on different technologies
• At least 5 years of experience building React and/or Mobile Applications
• Preferably worked in the Finance/Retail domain or other similar domains with complex

Education
• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent education covering Math, Algorithms, Data
Structures, Networking, Databases, Operating Systems, Graphics
• Nice to have a Post-Graduate degree in Computer Science

About the role

• You will build an android app for the Saathi users (Teachers and students) to manage teacher classes and students’ studies.
• You will work on building features end to end with complete ownership, developing, testing, and deploying the core features.

Who you are

• You have prior experience as an Android Developer using Kotlin or have a strong desire to shift to Kotlin.
• You have 2- 4 years of experience in android development.
• You have strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and know how to deal with different screen sizes
• You have proven work experience in design patterns mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM/MVC
