We are seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Lead to join our Team. As the Engineering Lead, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical direction of our mobile app development, focusing on iOS and ReactJS technologies. You will lead a small team of software engineers and work closely with the product and design teams to deliver innovative and high-quality mobile applications. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support throughout the software development lifecycle
• Set clear objectives and performance expectations for the team members, and regularly assess and review their performance
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define the technical roadmap for mobile app development projects.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, assisting with architectural decisions, code reviews, and problem-solving.
• Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality mobile applications by managing resources, setting realistic project timelines, and resolving any obstacles or bottlenecks.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in mobile app development, iOS, and ReactJS technologies, and identify opportunities to leverage new tools and frameworks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as QA, DevOps, and UX/UI, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of mobile applications.
• Act as a point of contact for technical discussions, representing the team in meetings with stakeholders and upper management.
• Identify and address any technical or performance-related issues, working closely with the team to resolve them and ensure the stability and scalability of the mobile applications.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of overall development experience.
• Very good understanding of core Javascript concepts.
• 3 years of React Native experience for iOS and/or Android.
• Extensive knowledge about mobile app development.
• This includes the whole process from the first line of code to publishing in the store(s).
• Some understanding of the build process involved with iOS and Android.
• Comfortable with basic design concepts and flex ui.
• Great attention to code quality & coding standards.
• Good grasp of architectural principles and patterns.
• Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript.
• Very good communication skills in English.

We are looking for a Senior React Native Mobile App Developer interested in building performant mobile apps on both the iOS and Android platforms. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

• Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms
• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native
• Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes- React Native moves fast and often breaks things
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
• Transition existing React web apps to React Native

• Firm grasp of the JavaScript and TypeScript or ClojureScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code
• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio, IntelliJ
• Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
• Experiences with automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha

Passion for all things Mobile and have built complex Mobile Applications with React Native for at least 2 years. Have shipped apps on either the iOS App Store or Android Play Store, and are intimately familiar with their workflows. Comfortable with jest for writing unit and integration tests / appium for end-end testing. Intuition for usability and UI design, with an ability to balance polish with the constraints of timing and scope. Curiosity to remain updated with the newest technologies and frameworks. Comfort with any of WebRTC/Backend Stack/React JS is a strong plus. Most importantly, love coding!
