Embedded Systems Intern

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Embedded Systems Intern to join our

engineering team. This role provides hands-on experience in the complete embedded system

development lifecycle, focusing on microcontroller programming, sensor integration, and system

prototyping. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hardware and software, eager to learn, and

ready to contribute to innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities

● Firmware Programming: Develop, test, and debug efficient firmware for various

microcontrollers and Processors (Beagle Boards) using Embedded C.

● Sensor Interfacing: Interface and acquire data from a diverse range of sensors (digital and

analog) using standard communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).

● Hardware Prototyping: Set up and test development boards and prototype circuits, ensuring

correct functionality and stability.

● Code Documentation: Maintain clean, well-documented code and manage projects using

version control practices.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

● Proficiency in firmware programming tailored for embedded systems.

● Demonstrated hands-on experience with popular microcontroller platforms (Arduino, ESP32,

or similar).

● Strong foundational knowledge of sensor technologies and interfacing, including data

acquisition and signal conditioning.

● Basic understanding of electronics and the ability to read circuit schematics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Strong experience with programming microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, and ESP8266.
• Experience with Embedded C/C++.
• Experience with Raspberry Pi, Python, and OpenCV.
• Experience with Low power Devices would be preferred
• Knowledge about communication protocols (UART, I2C, etc.)
• Experience with Wi-Fi, LoRa, GSM, M2M, SImcom, and Quactel Modules.
• Experience with 3d modeling (preferred).
• Experience with 3d printers (preferred).
• Experience with Hardware design and knowledge of basic electronics.
• Experience with   Software will be preferred.ss

Detailed Job role (daily basis) done by the IOT developer.

·       Design hardware that meets the needs of the application.

·       Support for current hardware, testing, and bug-fixing.

·       Create, maintain, and document microcontroller code.

·       prototyping, testing, and soldering

·       Making 3D/CAD models for PCBs.

• ●  The suitable candidate shall have most of the following knowledge /skills/experience:

• ●  Clear fundamentals of Analog and Digital Electronics. Knowledge of Full Hardware

• Design Life Cycle.

• ●  Knowledge of Circuit Simulation (PSPICE, NI Multisim, etc).

• ●  Hand- On experience with HW designing rules, PCB Layout in Cadsoft Eagle/Altium Designer etc.

• ●  Should have knowledge & experience with designing & developing 8/16 bit Microcontroller based close loop control systems and Arduino Platform.

• ●  Circuit building and Circuit Analysis Skills.

• ●  Component Data Sheet analysis skills.

• ●  Project Requirement Analysis Protocols/Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB, Serial interfaces(SPI, I2C, RS485, RS422, RS232).

• ●  Hands-on experience in utilizing test equipment like DMM, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Function/Signal generator/Solder Station (SMD/DIP).

• ●  Knowledge about Board Bring Up process.

• ●  Testing (Integration testing, protocol/Driver testing, etc.).

• ●  Experience in Embedded C programming and embedded system integration and can develop test cases for the same.

• ●  Knowledge of IoT Open Source Programming / Development.

• ●  Candidate will be responsible for research & development of M2M/IoT products.

• ●  Candidate will be responsible for end-to-end embedded system integration.
