Senior Hardware Engineer

DESCRIPTION

 Candidate will be responsible for Analysis of requirements, implementation, integration,

testing and documentation of Automotive Software components (Designing and Configuration of SWC,

BSW, MCAL drivers).

 Responsible for maintaining quality of Software deliverables.

 Candidate will be involved in entire Software development Life cycle.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Well versed in AUTOSAR components’ design, configuration and Integration with experience in embedded ‘C’

coding. Good system level knowledge. Self-driven, motivated,

good problem-solving ability, analytical, communication and debugging skills.

 Understanding of SDLC.

 Strong Embedded Software and AUTOSAR knowledge on automotive control units.

 Hands on exp. of AUTOSAR tool chains like Davinci Developer, DaVinci Configurator

Pro, Geny, and Canoe.

 Good understanding of AUTOSAR architecture and concepts - BSW, RTE and SWC.

 Must have designing & Integration experience of SWC.

 Must able to integrate vector stack, configuration of RTE, OS and Understanding of

System/ECU Extract and generation phases.

 Must have knowledge of configuration and implementation of various SW BSW modules

(Com /Memory/Watchdog/ IO/ Diagnostic Stack etc.).

 Must have knowledge of configuration and implementation MCAL drivers (DIO/ADC /I2C

/EEPROM/PWM/CAN/LIN etc.)

 Hands on experience on 8bit, 16bit and 32bit microcontrollers. Experience with Renesas

 RH850 controller will be an added advantage.

 Hands on experience on Automotive Communication Protocol like CAN, LIN and

 Diagnostics (UDS/K-line). Geny, CANdela, ODX etc.

 Should know Software Development life cycle. Experience with Automotive Software

 development, integration and test tools.

 Working knowledge of Device Driver programming of microcontroller of 8bit, 16bit and

 32bit microcontroller. Hands on experience on basic Software handling

 Good understanding of Hardware and experience of module development for ADC,

 PWM, Timer, NVM etc.

 Experience on Microcontroller in initial configuration and CPU clock settings.

 Experience on Software Modules integration and integration testing.

 Hands on experience on standard Architectural handling

 Experience in compilation and debugging environment setting (GNU environment).

 Knowledge on Communication protocol: CAN, LIN, RS232, I2C,SPI, usage of Communication tools

like Canoe, can analyzer

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Development, integration and testing of embedded software in the Embedded Linux RTOS

2.    Integrate Application based on Adaptive AUTOSAR Platform

3.    Contribute for Architecture, Detailed design, programming in C++ (11/14/17)

4.    Perform Unit, Integration Tests of developed Application

5.    Detail oriented systematic problem-solving approach in the embedded software.

6.    Debug embedded software on hardware platforms for issue identification and resolution

Minimum qualification criteria:

1.    Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

2.    2+ years of experience in software development in C or C++

3.    2+ years of experience in designing and implementing embedded systems for high performance, high reliability real-time embedded computing platforms

Pace Robotics is a construction robotics startup incubated by SINE IIT-Bombay and backed by Pidilite Ventures, MARL 5G Accelerator and Kochi Holdings. We are making the construction process faster, smarter and efficient through robots that can do advanced construction tasks and digitize execution data in real time. We are currently piloting our first product, a modular robot for plastering, painting and putty of building interiors, at construction sites.

To support our next stage of growth and to take the product from prototype to manufacturing ready design, we are looking for an embedded software engineer who will support the design and implementation of the software for embedded devices and systems end to end from requirements gathering to commercial deployment.

What will you do

• Develop embedded code which enables simultaneous exchange of data between various modules and sensors to facilitate fast/robust decision making for the robot.
• Selection of Communication Protocols, actuation sequencing and deep involvement with embedded software and control strategy.
• Develop and maintain various engineering tools used to debug, analyze, and test embedded products.
• Support the Embedded Systems Lead in working as the common link between the hardware, robot autonomy, and software teams, converting inputs from each team along with overall product/customer needs into electronic circuits, software and hardware.
• Assist in conceptualizing, designing, fabricating, integrating and testing overall embedded architecture, embedded boards, software and circuitry for Pace Robotics’ fleet of AGV based robots.
• Assist in selection and integration of all active, passive components, micro-controller, processor w/peripherals and power components.
• Work on improving the efficiency of the power distribution and consumption.
• Work on designing the wiring scheme of the whole autonomous system.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors (with 2-5 yrs exp) in Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation/Electrical & Electronics/Embedded Systems with relevant experience in industrial R&D Projects.

You have the following technical skill sets:

• Expertise with microcontroller/microprocessors (non - Arduino), C programming, digital electronics, different communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, rs232, ethernet, rs485, CAN etc
• Good Understanding of Electronics Circuits and Schematics.
• Deep expertise of RTOS / LINUX programming concepts.
• Excellent understanding of Signal Processing methods, (Good To have)
• Experienced in PCB and wiring harness Design, (Good to Have)
• Proficient with Matlab, Simulink, DAQ software. (Good To have)

Candidate Skill Set:

 Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of Embedded C programming.

 Experience of firmware development on multiple microcontroller families like AVR, MSP430, STM32,

 Knowledge of IDE’s like Keil, AVR Studio, IAR, Cubesuit will be an added advantage.

 Hands on experience of working on wireless communication (BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa, GSM/ GPRS)
