Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MERN Stack Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building modern web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, high-performance web applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver top-tier solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using the MERN stack.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Optimize applications for performance and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the full stack.
• Implement security and data protection best practices.

The Full-Stack Engineer role involves working across prosuct development stack, including various backend systems, frontend systems as well as quick prototyping of proof-of-concept features and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Architecting Figuring out all levels of designing and structuring systems, deciding on optimal levels of abstraction and future-proofing, patterns of orchestration of components and finally planning its execution.
• Implementation Should be able to structure and write code like prose for others to read, design and adhere to common principles and patterns that make everyone better at their jobs. Should have the ability to contribute according to timelines and type of projects - from working POCs to stable production code and the ability to work with a large breadth of knowledge.
• Orchestration and integration Interact with the larger engineering team for integrating your work into the ecosystem, help others in building over the base that you provide, help in orchestrating your work into CI/CD, testing, QA and automation pipelines.
• Mentorship We all love to learn and grow as engineers and human beings and we believe in synchronous growth as a team fueled by each and every individual's personal abilities, specializations, and interests.
• To enable this you'll be required to mentor others by sharing your expertise in various forms and be subject to be mentored by others and thus maintain a continuous learning culture.
• Ownership End-to-end ownership of services and specialised components required for various projects - starting from prototypal stage to production-hardened. These may include anything from document parsing to solving problems using deep learning.
• Documentation Create advanced technical content including articles, samples, whitepapers, and training.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop world-class content for online courses on different stacks in Full-Stack Web Development (Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, React.js, Node.js & Express.js, C#, .NET), Blockchain Development & Architecture, software development/mean-stack development / Data science/Machine Learning. This job will equip the candidate with highly sought after skills and will be a great starting point for a career
• Understand the industry requirements and develop courses to help students meet high standards
• Plan and execute student competency assessment and engagement to ensure extraordinary learning experience
• Quickly learn complex concepts and ensure quality of content, instructional design and overall course experience
• Collaborate with business development team to meet content production deliverables
• Define & structure content development process; work with educational content across all levels
• Structure, grow and lead content development team including research assistants, video producers, scriptwriters etc.
• Work closely with senior faculty, freelancers and global industry leaders

Skills Required

• BE/B.tech Computer science background (Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, BCA/ MCA,
• Online/ self taught/MOOC) OR a degree in Maths/Statistics.
• 4+ years of experience in e-Learning and/or creating customised higher education programs
• Experience in software development (backend/full-stack web development) , Data science is valuable.
• Excellence in problem solving and structuring of complex processes in new terrains
• Master in Higher Education/ Technology, Education & Innovation is preferred
• Experience in (digital) pedagogic content production; preferably higher education is preferred

• Own our user interfaces with an eye to lightning-fast performance and a great user experience
• Implement compelling and intuitive UIs, shaping the design and feel of the product alongside our founders
• Write a significant amount of code for new and existing features
• Ship high-quality code and architecture
• Mentor engineers on the team, developing their skills and helping advance their careers

Requirements

• You have been building production web applications for 5+ years and know the systems from top to bottom
• You know SQL and have significant programming experience on the frontend with React
• You have a BS/MS/Ph.D. in a scientific field or equivalent experience
• You want to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment that respects its engineers and customers
• Comfortable working with a 100% distributed engineering team, collaborating on GitHub, Slack, Zoom, etc. in the open and as a self-starter.

Bonus points

• You have backend experience building microservices
• You’ve contributed to open-source libraries and actively participate in the development community (blogging, meetups, tweeting, etc.)
• You have experience building interactive data visualizations
• You have worked in TypeScript, Java, Go

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and code features in the front-end and back-end as per the specifications provided by the Product and Design teams.
• Ship features in fast moving agile sprints.
• Work closely with Product Design and Product Management teams to brainstorm and chalk out details of features.
• Ability to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completion.
• Strong skills in architecting database models.
• Ability to document your code as this will be an open-core project.
• Ability to write unit, integration, and end to end tests.
• Conduct peer code review.

Must have:

• Strong understanding of Javascript, Typescript, NodeJS.
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming, callback, and closures.
• Experience developing applications that use queues like SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with AWS services like S3, EC2, etc.
• Experience with Docker.
• Strong experience with ReactJS: hooks, functional programming, and optimizing render functions.
• Good knowledge of CSS.
• Experience with creating cross-browser compatible web apps.
• Should be strong in Postgres database.
• Test driven development and use of frameworks like Mocha, Cypress.
• Strong proficiency in English and writing skills.

Good to have

• Basic knowledge of CI, CD
• Intermediate knowledge in any cloud services (AWS, GCP)
• Have created GraphQL APIs or worked with the Apollo framework.
• Have built previous functionality for CRM, marketing, or customer support tools.
