Job Overview :

We are looking for a Lead Engineer - Java with a strong background in Java development and hands-on experience with J2EE, Springboot, Kubernetes, Microservices, NoSQL, and SQL. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality software solutions and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. role with 7 to 10 years of experience, based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This position is a full-time role with excellent growth opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills :

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

- Strong knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, and Springboot frameworks

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and microservices architecture

- Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases

- Proficient in troubleshooting and debugging complex system issues

- Experience in Enterprise Applications

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Work closely with product management and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliverables

- Design scalable and high-performance applications using Java, J2EE, and Springboot

- Develop and maintain microservices using Kubernetes and containerization

- Design and implement data models using NoSQL and SQL databases

- Ensure the quality and performance of software through code reviews and testing

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues

- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies

About the role: 

· Understand the project test requirements.

· Execute and evaluate automated test cases/suites and report test results to ensure that system functionality satisfies acceptance criteria.

· Create and maintain automation scripts using the Robot Framework

· Help create acceptance criteria for user stories.

· Log bug reports based on test execution.

· Collaborate with the development team to prioritize test scenarios.

· Collaborate with the development team to perform root cause analysis.

· Other duties assigned.

Position Requirements:

Essential Skills:

· Knowledgeable in Software Automation using Robot Framework

· Knowledgeable in API testing (Postman)

· Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban

· Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Python preferred)

· Experience with REST API testing and the relevant testing tools.

· Understanding the differences between JSON, YAML, and XML.

· Experienced with CI/CD.

· Experience testing web applications and different types of testing approaches and test environments.

· Experience in test risk management.

· Experience in using GIT repositories would be great.

· A passion for software product quality assurance with a positive mindset and good communication skills.

· Keen eye for detail.

Good to Have

· ISTQB foundation level certification

· Familiar with other automation testing tools like Selenium and Katalon Studio

· Suggest / make framework improvements to accommodate the scripting needs

· Implemented automation framework using Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) approach

· Familiarity with the Test Pyramid would be great.

· Experience working with JIRA

The ideal candidate would be a person having a strong technical know-how of Drupal application development & CMS concepts, backed with an equally strong hands-on experience. He / She should be fluent with the design concepts using Drupal 8 and above(Must) as well as be well versed with the best practices in the development, testing & deployment phases.

Experience : 5 – 9 years

Contract duration : 6 months

Major Accountability

• Demonstrate expertise in authoring & customizing Drupal modules as well as have experience in working with views, panels and features.
• Carry-out impact analysis & estimation for given set of requirements.
• Develop code by adhering to the Drupal, security and accessibility standards.
• Act as liaison with the client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems.
• Work self-directed and independently.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Have overall 4-8 years of IT experience on Drupal 8 platforms.
• Have expertise in developing complex websites based on Drupal 8 platforms and framework-based web applications.
• Have expertise in LAMP environment.
• Have working knowledge of web servers like Apache, Nginx etc.
• Have strong experience with source/version control systems.
• Have excellent communication, analytical & presentation skills.

Education

• Minimum education: B.E., BTech, MCA
• Languages: English written & spoken
