Dot Net Developer

Systel, Inc. is looking for a lead software developer to help build a development team to tackle critical software projects internally and R&D for external projects. The candidate will be overseeing day-to-day operations and working with stakeholders to prioritize projects and tasks. A successful candidate will need to be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and the implementation of software systems, processes, and policies.

You’ll be working with various departments to implement critical applications that will improve the organization’s manufacturing efficiency and impact the bottom line. You’ll also be responsible for new project research and development. The candidate must have good organizational skills and the ability to work without direct supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities (Work from Office Only):

Team Lead

• Experience in the different phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Organize the team around departmental and organizational priorities
• Define and enforce software development policies and procedures according to industry standards
• Ensure software development, deployment, and management are done according to department policy
• Responsible for meeting, measuring, and reporting team metrics and SLAs
• Work with stakeholders to identify quarterly and annual goals
• Ensure projects are staying on track for goals and set deadlines

Software Development

• Design and development of new features or applications
• Testing and deployment of applications as required
• Integration of internal applications with third-party software
• Rewrite legacy internal applications on a modern technology stack
• Keep up with the latest industry trends and technology by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.

Software Maintenance

• Proactive monitoring and support of internal applications
• Respond to and resolve requests (bug report, new feature) from users within defined SLAs
• Training or directing users on the correct use of software applications

Documentation

• Accurately maintain records of requests, transactions, problems, and actions taken
• Participate in defining and following department standards in documentation
• Actively document new processes and procedures
• Actively work to improve documentation
• All other assigned tasks and duties.
• All work activities shall be conducted in a manner that supports Systel’s Quality Manual, Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, System Level Procedures (SLP), and Work Instructions (WI).

• Design and develop the Travelers web application.
• Integration of internal applications with third-party software
• Proactive monitoring and support of internal applications
• Experience with backend technologies (C#,.NET,.NET Core, Web API)
• Fundamental understanding of front-end technologies like JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS
• Working knowledge of Azure, Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar database technology
• Experience with Git and knowledge of automated build tools such as Jenkins
• All other assigned tasks and duties.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Education

Degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field. Alternatively, vocational schooling with relevant coursework

Experience

• I would like to see at least 5 years of software development experience
• I would like to see at least 1–3 years of leadership experience

Requirements

• Experience with C# .NET
• Experience developing web applications using front-end JavaScript frameworks
• Experience designing and developing Web Services and APIs
• Experience with MS SQL Server or similar relational database
• Experience developing desktop applications is a plus

Profile Summary: The Software Engineer - Full Stack is responsible for software development as a member of a project team. He/she works closely with subject matter experts, business analysts, quality analysts, and others to design, develop, and test software solutions to business problems.

Responsibilities:

• Solve problems of considerable scope and complexity.
• Designing, coding (at least 80%), debugging and optimizing both frontend and backend components as well as internal tools, such as configuration management and development/test environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
• 3-5 years of software development experience.
• Experience in lieu of education: Two years of experience for every year of formal education required. Application development experience using. NET, C#, . NET Core, SQL Server, CSS, and other web development technologies.

• Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
• Must have experience in technical data structures and should know algorithms

Requirements:

• 5 + Years – 6+ Years of Coding & Development Expertise in ASP.Net / .Net Core & C#.
• Should be able to interpret the FSD and translate into Coding Logic.
• Should have good exposure to using web-based technologies (ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS3, Web API, Bootstrap).
• Hands on Experience on Relational database like SQL is a must knowledge on Database Linking is very important including understanding Processing Logic.
• Experience in developing enterprise grade software with MVC, MVVM or MVP would be a Plus.

We are looking for some one with 3+ Years of experience  with Microsoft technologies including.NET, ASP.Net Core MVC, C#, MS SQL Server. WPF, WCF C#, ASP.NET, XML, XSL, scripting languages including JQuery/JavaScript and HTML. 

Good to have knowledge with SQL Server 2012, indexing and queries and SSIS/SSRS.

Has Implemented Ajax Controls in C# . Net Projects

Complete understanding of MS SQL Database. Data modelling to visualize database structure.

Writing queries use for front‐end applications (websites, desktop applications, Mobile App or cloud apps).

Good understanding of Reviewing query performance and optimizing code.

Designing and coding database tables to store the application’s data.

Creating database triggers, stored procedures & functions.

Creating table indexes to improve database performance.

Has experience in writing unit tests & performing unit tests on own codes.

Responsibilities:‐

• To be responsible for managing technology in projects and providing technical guidance / solutions for work completion.

• To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.

• To ensure process compliance in the assigned module and participate in technical discussions/review.

• To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project.

• Experience working with MVC framework.

• Hands on experience on various design patterns

• Experience in Unit testing development.

• Good to have experience on Team foundation server and Agile Development.

• Oversee and review code as required.

• Drive implementation and address technical roadblocks that the team is facing.

• Experience with diagnosing performance and/or memory issues is a plus, including using relevant profiler tools.

• Oversee and assist during system testing, UAT and deployment.
