DevOps Engineer Azure

Primary Skills:

Linux – Ubuntu Administration, Git, Gerrit, Jenkins Administration, Cloud services (Preferred AWS) Apache, Ansible, Python, Postgresql, Rabbit MQ, CloudWatch AWS, CFT in AWS

Additional Skills Required:

• Should have experience working with Jenkins, Git, Gerrit
• Should have Good understanding of AWS Security and execution.
• Should have Good python skills
• Should have experience of working with GIT, Gerrit, Jira, Confluence,
• Exposure to messaging systems Rabbit MQ
• Exposure to Html, Groovy, Javascript, shell scripting
• Exposure to Kibana, Provisioning, capacity planning and performance analysis at various levels
• Exposure to Android skills.
• Should have experience in working with cloud-native architecture.
• Experience with log stash and elastic search
• Expert in Full Stack design technique as well as experience working across large environments with multiple operating systems/infrastructure for large-scale programs
• May be recognized as a leader in Agile and cultivating teams working in Agile frameworks
• Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, resiliency, security
• Stays abreast of cutting edge technologies/trends and uses experience to influence application of those technologies/trends to support the business
• Experience on Modelling and Provisioning cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a Technical Lead role for DevOPs development and support teams.
• Need to communicate & coordinate with both offshore and onsite teams
• Should translate business requirements into project plans and workable item/activities
• Have a thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and the ability to implement software following the structured approach.
• Need to perform in-depth technical reviews of project deliverables and ensure it should be defect free (minimize post release defects).
• Understand the current applications and technical architecture and improvise them as needed.
• Stay abreast of new technologies, methods to optimize development process and latest SDKs, testing tools etc

5 to 10 years of software development & coding experience

Experience with Infrastructure as Code development (Automation, CICD) AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy are a must have. 

Experience troubleshooting AWS policy or permissions related errors during resource deployments \

Programming experience; preferred Python, PowerShell, bash development experience \

Have Experience with application build automation tools like Apache Maven, Jenkins, Concourse, and Git supporting continuous integration / continuous deployment capabilities (CI/CD) à GitHub and GitHub actions for deployments are must-have skills (Maven, Jenkins, etc. are nice to have)

Have configuration management experience (Chef, Puppet, or Ansible)

Worked in a Development Shop or have SDLC hands on Experience

Familiar with how to write software, test plans, automate and release using modern development methods

AWS certified at an appropriate level

Job Description:

Responsibilities

·       Having E2E responsibility for Azure landscape of our customers

·       Managing to code release and operational tasks within a global team with a focus on automation, maintainability, security and customer satisfaction

·       Make usage of CI/CD framework to rapidly support lifecycle management of the platform

·       Acting as L2-L3 support for incidents, problems and service request

·       Work with various Atos and 3rd party teams to resolve incidents and implement changes

·       Implement and drive automation and self-healing solutions to reduce toil

·       Enhance error budgets and hands on design and development of solutions to address reliability issues and/or risks

·       Support ITSM processes and collaborate with service management representatives

Job Requirements

·       Azure Associate certification or equivalent knowledge level

·       5+ years of professional experience

·       Experience with Terraform and/or native Azure automation

·       Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and toolset (i.e. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git)

·       Must be adaptable to work in a varied, fast paced exciting, ever changing environment

·       Good analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues

·       Understanding of Agile development and SCRUM concepts a plus

·       Experience with Kubernetes architecture and tools a plus

Required qualifications and must have skills  

• 5+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ infrastructure software engineers 

• 5+ years of experience in building and scaling technical infrastructure 

• 5+ years of experience in delivering software 

• Experience leading by influence in multi-team, cross-functional projects 

• Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management and managing engineers 

• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure 

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker 

Nice to have Skills   

• Experience with Hadoop, Hive and Presto 

• Application/infrastructure benchmarking and optimization 

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices 

• Familiarity with reliability best practices

• Building and maintaining operational tools for monitoring and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
• Actively monitoring the health and performance of all systems and performing benchmarking and tuning of system applications and operating systems

• You are proficient with bash, git and git workflows
• You have 3-5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
• You have excellent attention to detail
• AWS certification preferred but not mandatory

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure

• BE / MCA / B.Sc-IT / B.Tech in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of overall development experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud deployment and setup
• Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, Gradle etc.
• Deploy updates and fixes
• Provide Level 2 technical support
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
