Core PHP Developer

We are looking for a MERN Stack Developer with 2+ years of real-world experience who thinks beyond CRUD APIs and UI screens. This role is for someone who understands how full-stack systems are designed, cares about scalability, performance, security, and clean architecture, and takes ownership of features end-to-end.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js
• Build scalable and maintainable backend APIs with proper validation, error handling, and security
• Develop clean, reusable, and performant React components
• Design database schemas and optimize queries for performance and scalability
• Translate product and business requirements into solid technical solutions
• Design frontend and backend architecture that can scale as the product grows
• Handle authentication, authorization, roles, and permissions
• Work with async operations, background jobs, and API integrations
• Manage application state properly (React state, context, or state libraries)
• Handle edge cases: loading, failure states, retries, and fallbacks
• Write clean, readable, and well-structured JavaScript / TypeScript code
• Follow and continuously improve coding standards and best practices
• Debug production issues using logs, reasoning, and root-cause analysis
• Review PRs, give constructive feedback, and contribute to team learning
• Work with designers to deliver good UX, not just “working UI”
• Collaborate closely with QA, design, and product teams
• Think ahead—identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and improvement areas
• Use AI tools responsibly to speed up development, debugging, and learning (with understanding)

✅ Qualifications Must Have

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with the MERN stack
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, including OOP concepts
• Solid experience with Node.js & Express
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, schema design, indexing, and aggregation
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Strong understanding of async/await, promises, event loop
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design (Tailwind / Bootstrap preferred)
• Experience with React hooks, component lifecycle, and state management
• Use React performance optimizations such as: React.memo useCallback, useMemo
• Implement code splitting and lazy loading using dynamic imports
• Work on or understand micro-frontend architecture and module federation
• Experience handling authentication (JWT, sessions, OAuth)
• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and basic CI/CD concepts
• Exposure to real production issues (performance, bugs, scaling, failures, debugging)

Good to Have (Big Plus)

• Knowledge of Next.js or server-side rendering concepts
• Experience with Redis, queues (kafka, rabbitmq), or background jobs
• Experience with Docker, cloud deployments, or Nginx
• Understanding of performance tuning and lazy loading
• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Work with product managers to find solutions to critical problems, face internal customers, and create requirements.
• Triage and fix critical issues that arise in the field that affect our core product.
• Manage git repositories, pull requests, and review code.
• Communicate properly & promptly with all stakeholders.
• Build a proof-of-concept for new products from scratch.
• Optimize, clean up, and comment on the existing codebase.

Requirements:

• Must have 5-8 years of hands-on engineering experience.
• Must be an expert in JavaScript/Typescript with ES6+ features, Node.js, ReactJS, and Redux
• Must be an expert in HTML5 CSS3 SASS, and Webpack.
• You are proficient with RESTful API design and implementation using Node.js.0
• Proficiency in relational (MySQL, Cloud Spanner etc. ) and non-relational (MongoDB, Google Cloud Firestore etc. ) databases.
• Must be an expert in data structure and creating highly optimized algorithms.
• Should have a working knowledge of GCP services like App Engine, CloudSQL, Compute Engine etc.
• Should have a working understanding of microservices patterns, serverless design, and event-based architecture.
• Willingness to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and paradigms.

Description

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. If you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

Creating Websites using standard HTML/CSS practices

Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions

Programming, designing and developing content management systems, web services/APIs, backend and administration system using PHP/MySQL/JavaScript and open-source Frameworks Eg Laravel, CodeIgniter, Zend, Yii, and Slim etc.

Design application architecture design and maintain MY SQL databases & Tablets 

Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications

Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency

Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software 

Write technical documentation

Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

Requirements

Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role

Experience in web design and understanding of modern web designing tools like Axure, Marvel, or Figma 

Debugging, Troubleshooting and analytical and logical skills.

Familiarity with common stacks

Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XHTML)

Knowledge of Microservices Architecture

Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, AJAX), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design

• Plan, architect, integrate, and develop back-end and database driven features using the Python language and frameworks (Flask/ Falcon, MongoDB ).

• Aid in the development and ongoing maintenance of our DevOps platform (Ansible)
• Provide technical advice and recommendations for language and software choices.

The Role

Based in Jaipur or Pune, you will be working in a collaborative team on cutting edge technologies in a supportive and dynamic environment. Ultimately you are responsible for building the CODI and on-boarding new clients - this involves:

• Developing a good understanding of the solutions which Peak delivers, and how these link to Peak’s overall strategy.
• Making suggestions towards shaping the strategy for a feature and engineering design.
• Managing own workload and usually delivering unsupervised. Accountable for their own workstream or the work of a small team.  
• Understanding Engineering priorities and is able to focus on these, helping others to remain focussed too
• Acting as the Lead Engineer on a project. Helps ensure others follow Peak processes, such as release and version control.
• An active member of the team, through useful contributions to projects and in team meetings.
• Supervising others. Deputising for a Lead and/or support them with tasks. Mentoring new joiners/interns and Masters students. Sharing knowledge and learnings with the team.

Required Skills and Experience

We are building a team of world class engineers in Jaipur / Pune, essentially we are looking for bright, talented engineers looking to work at the cutting edge of practical AI.

• Acquired strong proven professional programming experience.
• Strong command of Algorithms, Data structures, Design patterns, and Product Architectural Design.
• Good understanding of DevOps, Cloud technologies, CI/CD, Serverless and Docker, preferable AWS 
• Proven track record and expert in one of the field - DevOps/Frontend/Backend
• Excellent coding and debugging skills in any language with command on any one programming paradigm, preferred Javascript/Python/Go
• Experience with at least one of the Database systems - RDBMS and NoSQL
• Ability to document requirements and specifications.
• A naturally inquisitive and problem-solving mindset.
• Strong experience in using AGILE or SCRUM techniques to build quality software.
